This is usually caused by a dirty or damaged mode lock. Take the key out and squirt a small amount of de-watering fluid such as DW-40 or CRC down it, then turn the key a few times and see if the display comes back in Z1 again. If not, you probably need a new mode lock.

Sharp Xe 203 cash register is printing all 99 departments when doing a z1 reset at end of day, we only have 16 department, how do we print only the dept we use

Firstly, make sure there is a Z or Z1 at the top of the report. If it is X or X1, you are not resetting and that's your problem.
The register is set by default to ignore all zero balance PLUs and depts so someone may have turned printing of all depts on Z reports. Check your programming manual for a setting which details depts with zero printing or all printing in Z reports. It will normally be in the printing settings but it can vary between models.

GELLAR SX-680. What do I do to re print yesterday's end of day cash/transactions report - Z1 ? Can I find the report on the roll that stays in the till?

Yes. The reports will print on the receipt and journal paper so you have two copies. Once printed, a Z report will clear so you will have to check the printout for the last report.

How can i get my te m80 till to print it was printing but now nothing on the paper my grandchild was plying with buttons

If it still prints an end of day report, the receipt is probably turned off (press PAPER SAVING button).
If the end of day report comes out blank, make sure you have the shiny side of the paper to the front (only prints on one side). If those things are not the problem, it is probably time for a new printer. The Seiko printers in that model were total rubbish and frequently need replacing if you print a lot.

How do i get product report te2400

Hi Cahla. Turn the key to Z1 mode then type 14 CASH. This will print a PLU report. Remember, the first one will have huge figures if you haven't used this report before. The figures will reset after print so the next report will be correct.

How to get grand total of the month on sharp cash register ER-2385

I can't believe we still have a book for this one - the ER2385 began production in 1987!
Most business owners take their totals daily. You probably have, too, by turning the key to Z1 and touching
. CA/AT (I hope you can the decimal point in front of the CA/AT. It's essential.)
To take monthly totals, do exactly the same thing, but in the X2/Z2 position.
Note that these totals are monthly only because you print them monthly. If you do it every Saturday night, you'll get weekly totals. The register prints totals that have accumulated since the last time you took a Z2 reading. It's up to you to make them monthly by taking them monthly.
So, on January 31 take your usual nightly total, then the Z2 total. Taking the daily one first ensures that today is included in the month.
Skipping the decimal point before the CA/AT will give you an X2 total. The same numbers will be printed, but they won't be cleared back to zero. That's fine if you want to see your totals so far, without messing them up, but if you forget it at the end of January, then February's totals will include both months. The same rule applies to daily totals. Use the decimal point if you want the numbers cleared.
While the CA/AT key gives the familiar department totals, other readings are available.
PLU gives your PLU totals, if you use them. (X1 and Z1 only)
#/TM gives totals for each hour of the day (X1 and Z1 only)
SBTL gives a total for each day of the month (X2/Z2 only)

How do i get manager reading on my er a330

I think you mean your end-of-day money totals:
Turn the key to X1/Z1
Touch the decimal point, then the CA/AT/NS (CAsh, Amount Tendered, No Sale) button - or maybe it's just CA/AT on the -A330.
It will print out a Z reading: the day's sales totals and clear them back to zero, except the Grand Totals at the top of the tape.
If you skip the decimal point it will print an X reading: the same tape, but will not clear the totals, so they can continue building. You can print an X tape several times a day if you're curious about sales, so far, without messing up anything.
I talk about Z totals as a daily total, but they accumulate for as long as you let them, before taking a Z reading. It is only a daily report as long as you take it daily, as most business owners do.

Z 2 key will not give nights end readout

It depends upon the programming of the reports section, but the Z2 mode is usually reserved for periodic reports such as monthly. Z1 is for daily reports

How do you Z out a 435dx

"Z" (Prints End-of-Day Management Reports and Resets Totals) - Prints the "Z" management report at the end-of-the-day and resets totals to zero (except "locked-in" grand total).
To print Management Reports, slide the control switch to the "X" or "Z" position as needed, then press the [amt tend/TOTAL] key. Refer to explanation starting on page 37.
"X" AND "Z" SALES MANAGEMENT REPORTS
__________________________________________________________________
Transaction data is maintained in the memory of the cash register as long as the battery back-up system is in effect. This data can be printed as a report for management review.
The Management Report can be printed from either the "X" or the "Z" position on the Control Switch.
"X" POSITION REPORT (Refers to a mid-day reading)
The "X" position report prints the accumulated information and RETAINS ALL TOTALS IN MEMORY. Use this position to print periodic readings of transaction information at any time through-out the day. (Some users call the X-report a mid-day report).
"Z" POSITION REPORT (Refers to an end-of-day or close-out reading)
The "Z" position report prints the same information as the "X" report. However, once this report is printed, ALL TRANSACTION TOTALS ARE RESET TO ZERO except the Grand Total. (Some users call the Z-report an end-of-day report).
NOTE: To prevent accidental printing of the "Z" report, set the security code as explained in the SECURITY CODE section.
Once this code is set, a "Z" report will not print until the security code is entered. If a "Z" report is attempted without entering the security code, the prompt "SEC Code" will appear in the display.

PRINTING THE SALES REPORT
IMPORTANT: Once a "Z" reading is taken, it cannot be duplicated, so be sure to have plenty of paper in the register.
1. Set the Control Switch to either the "X" or "Z" position.
2. Press the [amt tend/TOTAL] key.
NOTE: If a security code has been assigned, be sure to enter the security code before pressing the [amt tend/TOTAL]
key.
TO CLEAR THE GRAND TOTAL:
1. Set the Control Switch to the "prg" (Program Mode) position.
2. Type [2], type [0], then press [RA].
After this operation, the grand total resets to zero.

Reprint x1/z1 on EX-A22H

if you have printed a Z report, it has already been cleared. You may be able to get it from the electronic journal though.Try this:
Turn key to X1/Z1 mode.Make sure you have lots of paper left on your roll. If you are not sure, place a fresh roll in the machine since you don't want to run out during this print.Type 700 @/FOR CASH.On euro models, it is 700 X TL or 700 X CASH.This will print the journal which contains all of the last few thousand lines and reports.Good luck.

HOw do I print out a daily, only, report of sales.. not the total monthly sales.

It depends which brand and model. Most have a Z1 and Z2 position. If you want a daily, turn to Z or Z1, not Z2. If you want more info, let me know the brand and model
