Hobart Ultra Arc 350 3-phase blows breaker in fuse panel

I have a Hobart Ultra Arc 350 3-phase. when I try to strike an arc it immediately blows the circuit breaker in the fuse panel. I took the covers off and found a broken fixed 50watt 50 ohm resistor. part number aw-1651-10. Can this be the problem with the welder or is this the result of another problem. Also, where can I buy welder parts.

Machine turns on, air compressor runs but will not strike an arc

sounds like the voltage is not getting to the tip. I would suggest taking this in for repair.

Prone to arc eyes from welding?

If you have a conventional flip lens welding helmet and are prone to getting arc eyes from "peeping" though a gap to strike your arc, try this.<br /> Replace the inside fixed clear lens in your helmet with a yellow perspex lens. The world will appear strange at first through the yellow lens, but the yellow cuts out the ultra violet rays that cause arc eyes. The yellow lens should not be considered a replacement for the dark glass, it is only to shield you from that inadvertant flash when making your strike.

Does not generate at normal current, wont quite strike an arc.is there a wiring diagram that could be used for diagnostics/repair ?

Check for any loosened terminals and observe the welding machine if it sounds like hamming when connected to the power source. If you hear no sound, it means that no power is coming in. Check your fuse or breaker of the welding machine it might be busted already.

My miller sychrowave tig welder is not blowing sheilding gas when it strikes an arc. The gas is on at the tank. I can hear what sounds like gas or a valve opening when I press the foot control, but my...

Remove the tig torch twist lock from the front of the machine. Step on the pedal as if you were striking an arc and gas should flow out of the twist lock port. If gas comes out of the port, your torch probably has a valve built in (many do) often this is a sleeve on the torch body which you rotate but may not be obvious.
If no gas out of port then its the solenoid or regulator.
You do have the machine in TIG mode and not stick?

Weld arc not stable. Wire feeds, good ground,

Arc blow could be the cause! Put your ground on the work piece and weld away from it. If you weld toward a ground clamp the magnetic forces will blow your arc around sometime. When taking a cert this simple mistake can make or break ya on your cap or reinforcement beads.

Arc fault circ breakers feel warm

If the breakers are 20 amp and the panel is rated at 100 amps, only 5 breakers. if the panel is 200 amp, only 10, 20 amp breakers and so on

3 combination arc fault breakers tripping under load

What is happening is the white wire that comes off the breaker is probably too close to another neutral or too close to a hot wire that is on one of the other circuits that will make it trip when you use a drill etc... Check to see if the coiled up white wire off of the breaker is not near a hot in the panel. I have had lots of arc fault breakers trip for that reason.
