HERE'S WHAT WORKED FOR ME PER SONY TECHS:
Take?»¿ OUT the battery or disconnect the AC cord.
Turn the camera ON (tape, memory, edit settings) for 15 seconds.
Turn camera to off setting.
Plug battery or AC cord back in.
VOILA!
Worked for me and I had the stupid C32:11 error code for weeks! Door would not close. Followed the SIMPLE and SAFE instructions and IT WORKED! Just like magic. I couldn't believe it! Save your money TRY THIS!

If one of the doors on the Cassette Pedestal is open, then the main unit will display the 'check printer cover' message. Check to make certain all of the doors on the Cassette Pedestal are completely closed.
Note: These doors are located on the lower left side.

(2)
In service mode: (DORSW1/DORSW2) tested good.
Solution :
It may be necessary to refit the vertical path guide for cassette if it was not hitting the retry sensor, PS152, in the cassette unit.
Note that every cassette has a retry sensor (PS152).
(3)
Paper is "crunched" into the Retry sensor.

I have a sony cassette deck tc fx44. If I try to insert a cassette am unable to close the door. The door closes just fine without a cassette

Sometimes the tape sensors or record sensor gets bent or out of place so the door wont shut. Look for something like that.

I have a sony handycam dcr-hc26 that wont close the type door can you please help me ??

I have a sony handycam DCR-HC26. After loading in the DV cassette tape and the tape cannot get loaded in and therefore I can't close the tape door. Please help.

Cancorder not wrking-e007 error message

moisture in the cassette holder. Take out the cassette, leave the holder door open for a couple of hours in a dry, warm location, and it should work again.

Canon mp830.can't print from cd cassette i get an error: close print door first

Make sure the driver has the correct media selected. You may have to select a "tray" to print from. This may be done using a button on the control panel, using the menu and LCD display, or by setting the software driver preferences.

If that does not solve the problem try deleting and reinstalling the driver. Don't forget to check the owners manual. It may have information on this problem

I'm having the exact same problem. It wont accept the cassette...only half way then errors. It will close fully without a cassette as well. hmmmmm

Comment by Guest, posted on Apr 02, 2008 Load cassette, turn it on, then message says re-load cassette. Door to cassette compartment only works half way. After fiddling with power, can get the cassette door to open and close all the way, but not with cassette. Tried several brands of cassettes, no joy.

Camcorder Will Not Close

This is due to the improper closing of the cover below the cassette compartment(where the USB, 3894 ports r there)
Pl. close it properly. Then open the cassette door completely, and then close. It works.
