Is there a breaker that can be reset?

I have the same problem. It happened after a rug got caught in the tumbler and (I think) caused it to overheat. Is there a breaker that can be reset? How can I locate it? Otherwise, how can I locate the fuse or heating element so I can check them. Thanks!

First check breaker in your main house panel,if good then unplug unit and remove front cover and that will let you access fasteners for top cover remove these covers and you can then access the heating element to chk this for continuity, also chk the hi-limit switch on element case, and if its electronically controlled i.e.has a control panel it could have a fuse on or near the board to protect the electronics...

Frigidaire Gallery dryer Model FSG447GHSO. Clothes and dryer sheets get caught between the drum and one of the three "bumps" inside the drum, causing burn marks on clothing. I can see the gap where it

There is a gasket that fits around the back side of the tumbler. Sounds like it needs replacing. It's job is to keep clothes inside the tumbler.

I was drying rugs and one of the rugs got caught and the drum stopped turning. The power comes on but the dryer drum will not turn.

Hello, one possible cause of dryer drum not rotating is the rugs stuck between the drum and front panel.Secondly, maybe the dryer belt dispart.

While using the power mate rug part I caught a small rug and the vacuum would no longer pick-up .

Check to see if there is a reset button on the head. This protects the machine for times like you described. When something jms up the reset button will turn ofdf th machine. Simply push the reset. Hope this helps, Chris

My alternator caught on fire through what i think is my voltage regulator it is a 1990 ford bronco inline 6 300 where should i start looking for the problem also the connector goin into the alt. is ashes...

Yes,alwaways replace fire damaged componants. Now, I really don't think the fire was caused by the regulator. When an alternater works at maximum output for an extended period, it overheats and overheats enough to melts soldered connections. Better known as slinging solder. When this happens loose connections go where they shouldn't and a short is created which in turn heats and melts the winding lamination which is what actuall catches fire.Once you replace the Alt. the impportant thing is to find out why yhe old one got so hot. Make sure the charging rate is between 13.6 and 14.2v. Anything less than 23 volts will cause an heating up. This is because the Alt is very, very near full output. Make sure all grounds are good and the battery fluid is at rec, level. Good Luck, Ned

Go reset your circuit breaker. Even if it didn't pop out, reset it.

I checked the belt and it has not broken, but when I start to vaccum the spinning head stops, and I start to smell a rubber smell...Do you think I need to replace the belt, I did get some string caught in...

Yes you do need to replace the belt they stretch out. Think of a belt like a big rubber band if you were to stretch it out and hold a lighter to it the rubber band would stay stretched out. That is the same thing that happens when you get it caught on string or an area rug the brush stops but the little metal shaft keeps spinning creating heat and stretching the belt.
