Can you help me, my computer won't allow me to download the cd says its only for windows 98 and Mac. So I'm unable to put music on my MP3 player.
I plug Nextar MP3 player into USB port and windows pops up=looking for MTP driver=none found,no installation cd here,no help from website.Windows finds nothing and recycles the search till I unplug the MP3 player from Win XP usb port.

I was having the same problem. Couldn't download the CD driver on my windows XP or MAC... Went to the NEXTAR website, and the servers must be busy because it took forever to download pages there too!
Turns out because I use XP, it is not necessary to download ANY drivers. Basically, Just connect the MP3 player to the USB port. Go to Windows Explorer, locate the device (removeable disk F on my computer) and drag and drop music from your music library into the device. I used windows media to RIP the music as WMA format.
PS: if you drag/drop into the device, but receive a FORMAT error on the player itself. Try reformating the device (locate the device in Windows Explorer, right click, choose format) I bought 2 players and one had to be re-formated in order to work.
Everything working fine now!
You need to put the cd in and then you need to wait for some type of loading process and when its done loading you go to the start button on the main menu and then go to the box that says my computer and the picture or the name of the disk will be there and click on it then it will load then it will begin to play or do whatever it does
