Hell there: sound like it was off balance when you put load in. make sure you put heavy clothes on both sides so it won't get offbalance blankets you go around in circle until it in the washer just one no more it'll hurt it. try it let me know ty

Top loading washer vibrates quite a lot during spin cycle

If the machine is level and the feet are properly touching the pads it may be a fault in one of the suspension components or it could simply be the way the load is sitting in the machine during spin cycle. Towels get heavy when soaked and if the load is not balanced inside it will make the machine vibrate. Have you tried the machine without any clothes in it to rule that out?

Near the end of the rinse cycle there was a load noise accompanied with a lot of vibration. I stopped it and took out the wet clothes and fininshed manually. To test i put the machne on spin cycle and...

if the clothes bunch up on one side the tub doesn't spin evenly and goes off balance, the tub will start banging all around,if this happens, open the lid and move the clothes around to even them out so all the wieght isn't on one side,it's a common thing mostly with a few items in the washer but can happen with any size load.if it keeps happening send the brand name and the model should be fine.

The spin cycle won't engage, the laundry tumbles, it starts to speed up and then slows back down to tumbling. I've removed some of the laundry, set it to rinse and spin and it still does the same thing....

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on what you've described, there are a few possible scenarios that will cause this.

1) It could be either the shipping bolts are still in place, shown below

2) the water hoses are backwards ( it's critical for proper operation to make sure hot goes to hot and cold to cold )

3) or even you're using too much detergent (or the wrong type of detergent), you must use "HE" only in these frontload machines

4) the leveling legs/feet aren't secured proper or are uneven...

...otherwise it doesn't spin the items out very well either due to too much vibration sensed to maximize spin.

Make sure the shipping bolts are out first, i.e.

Level properly, i.e.

And use only detergent with this label, but not much is necessary.

**especially if your laundry has been washed in a top load prior to now since the items will likely still contain soap from the old washing...maybe pre-wash all your items before placing them in a actual wash cycle with detergent for the first time**

Let me know what you find and I'll try to help you move forward from here.

We just bought a used Frigidaire front loader bought in 2004 and the washer jumps when in even the lowest spin cycle. We have bought a rug for under the washer and it has not helped. Any ideas???

We just had a new top-load Maytag Washer delivered. When the man finished installing it, he started a wash cycle and left. When it got to the spin cycle there was a lot of vibration. It doesn't...

NO. Have you checked if he installed an anti vibration pads. This is because the high frequency vibrations caused by the spin cycle can cause annoying noise and very serious long term structural damage to you home.

Vibrates, shakes and moves around and has a lot of noise while spinning. It has been leveled and the floor seems sturdy enough.

Peace Friend,
ngfam1 At your service!

1-it may be the belt squealing or high pitched nosies telling you it wants to go!
2- It more than likely is the rolling suspension that the drum spins on!I've seen the older models with one of 3 wheels that the drum rolls on is worn and wobbling or screaming or screeching etc.
3- I've seen also a few times that the motors heat shield, a simple piece if tin with two screws or bolts holding it down was "loose" and vibrating causing a loud metal squeal noise all the time or intermittently!!
If I were there hands on I could fix it!

Only a trained laundry tech can make the electronic diagnoses.

Unfortunely, another point to consider!!
How old is the appliance?

If the appliance is 10 years old or more you it may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!
Water,Electric and detergent! And put money back in your pocket!
The new appliance will pay for itself in only a few years!

You will be fine
Bless You ngafm1

Kenmore washer model 41740042990

Even after leveling my Frigidaire washer on a pedestal, the washer shook the house during ramping up on spin cycle. I found some Shake Away pads at Lowes. They are small pads that just go under each foot of the washer. I'm not sure how they work but THEY DO. The best 30 bucks I ever spent
