do you know what the new version of the easy rip software

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

What is the model of mp3 player and what version of easyRip are you trying to install?

  • Anonymous Jan 26, 2013

I feel ya. I hated the fact that the RCA Easy Rip "desktop bar" appeared each time i started up my PC, so I went to the settings and selected for it not to start up when I started my PC. The result, after much frustration and almost purchasing another laptop, was that my laptop was no longer to find the available wireless network connections. I didn\'t make the connection, but since that is the only think I had done, I tried changing the setting back and voila...my laptop was then able to connect to the internet again. RCA easyrip is a bunch of ... I am afraid to uninstall the software for fear that it will cause issues. If I only used my laptop for fun, I would, but I teach an online college course and need it. NO MORE RCA FOR ME!

If you have upgrade your computer after it was busted, that could cause your old version of the easy rip software to not recognize your rca mp3. what you'll prob need to do is update the easy rip software.

They are several options, and software you can use to facilitate what you want to do. I found this one that should help you with your rca mp3. let me know if it worked or not, and I can source a software that would accommodate you.

My RCA easy rip software doesn't detect my player

If you mp3 you can just drag and drop them into the mp3/4 player. However if you want vidoe's for it you need to convert them with this app and its free. http://www.soft29.com/freeware/smv_converter.htm then just drag and drop the converted files. This works much better than the easy rip.

RCA Easy Rip Uninstall will not... uninstall

I agree that RCA Easy Rip adds just about zero value; although i use my pearly everyday, I always access it via windows explorer as a removable drive.

I removed that program from the Pearl so it would stop asking if I wanted to install easyrip.

My suggestion for you is to run the installation software for easyrip again. I think this will help for one of two reasons:

  1. Being unable to uninstall from control panel is unusual and suggests an incomplete or corrupted installation. Reinstalling may fix the installation enough to use control panel's uninstall feature.
  2. Many software setup routines, upon finding the software already setup, will ask you if you want to remove it rather than install it a second time.

Hope that helps.

Rca mp3 easy rip software will not load

If you are running windows vista or XP, try running the easyrip installer as an administrator. To do this, right click the installer program file, and choose "run as administrator" (third one from the top).
Hope that helps.

MP3 Player not recognizing Real Player Video Files

That Opal's Easy Rip Software does not recognize Real Video format naturally. You may have to download a free program called Riva FLV Encoder to convert the Real Video files to AVI format. Once they are in AVI format, the Easy Rip software will recognize the file and convert them to your player. If you have lost your installation CD, you can get the Easy Rip software from:

Easy rip keeps freezing up and theres no sound on recorded videos

Make sure you have the updated Easy Rip software from RCA's website and that the lock switch on the back of the player is not turned on.

RCA M4208

Make sure the lock switch on the back is in the unlocked position. For the player to say "Loading," especially the first time you plug it into the computer, is normal - your computer is communicating with the player, installing drivers, and trying to load the Easy Rip Software. If it stays on loading past 10 minutes, however, something is not right. If you have selected to open the device automatically using Windows Media Player, you are headed for trouble, especially if you have more music and other files on your computer than the mp3 player can handle. If you have accidentally done this, disable auto-sync in Windows Media Player.
If you have checked the above, and you are still having problems, disconnect the mp3 player from the computer. Hold in the power button for 10 seconds or more to reset the mp3 player. Try plugging the mp3 player into the computer again. If it stays on loading for more than 10 minutes, unplug the mp3 player, go into the settings menu and change the mode from MSC to MTP or vice versa. If it still misbehaves when you replug the mp3 player into the computer, download the latest Easy Rip software from RCA's website and update your player's firmware - take note of the section they have on Windows Vista if you have Windows Vista. Good luck!
