Please refer to link below for Operating System Specific System Drivers.Example for windows XP Professional you will need to click on " Windows XP Professional " and so forth.

Non system or system disk error
Bad HDD? Have you tried a system restore/recovery. Reboot, at preboot repeatedly tap the F-11 key try to get to system restore/recovery.If it's an old machine you may need to replace the HDD.

When a compaq armada m700 laptop is showing non-system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready
this usually happens when the computer is trying to boot from a disk that isn't a valid boot disk.

if you have a floppy drive plugged into the multibay and a floppy in the drive, try removing the floppy.
if there is no floppy involved, try to boot from your system recovery disks, as it's likely that the boot record on the hard drive will need repaired. your system recovery disks should walk you through the process.

I just bought a used compaq armada m700 notebook. I can not get it to do anything except all it does is say its loading theFreeDOS No KERNEL SYS BUT DOES NOT LOAD ANYTHING
Buy a Windows Disk(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/buy/default.aspx). And install it on your laptop. It'll be fine.
Most of the laptop doesn't come with any pre-loaded Operating system

My laptop takes to long to load anything freezing most of the times, how can I speed the process
you may have virus on your system, clean up ur system history
temp files,
internet cache
run disk clean up tool
run disk defragmentation
clean internet cache
uninstall unwanted softwares
select selective start up from ms config
clean up registry
by doing all things ur pc will be speeded up
if u want to do in easy way then install reginout to do it for you

I recently had a BSOD problem with my Compaq now display problem
Try this, it may work, start up in Safe Mode press F8. Choose Safe Mode, when at the choice window, to select either Safe Mode Desktop, OR System Restore, chooses system restore and choose a time before you had the "Problem" and follow instructions. This should get you back. Otherwise you may have to bite the bullet, and do a new install, into the same directory as it is in now.

Armada m700 working fine. oneday got message 1782 disk controller failure. have tried removing things. will get message even if hard drive & caddy removed. have reset startup sequence have tried with...
 disk controller failure - the chip from the laptop's motherboard that's controlling the disks is fried. Nothing you can do - all hd's will be unrecognized - that laptop is dead.
 Buy a new one.

Non-System disk or disk error
This issue is related to a hard drive failure.
Remove any disk (if any) from your floppy or cd drive and try again.
Check in your bios if you can see your hard drive
If not your hard drive must be replaced
