I have a Pioneer Elite VSX-05. When I turn it on

I have a Pioneer Elite VSX-05. When I turn it on it says ''''muting''. Anyone?? I don't have the remote. Do I need one to fix this issue? Where do I get one?

No sound

On the bottom row of buttons next to the headphone jack, the button on the far right is labelled speakers. Try pressing that button to turn the speaker outputs back on.

Rotate the volume knob. Contrary to popular belief, manual switches on the front of a unit DO have functions.

Why does my pioneer vsx-d557 automatically go into MUTING WHEN I turn it on?

Maybe you have MUTING selected. Turn the volume knob up or toggle the Mute control on the remote.

If it defaults to muting on power up find the manual and search it for a default volume setting.

Pioneer Elite vsx-27tx receiver with no bass!?

There may be a subwoofer mute function on your amp. The sub out is nothing more than a preamp output with a low frequency response. It is meant to be amplified by an external amp. Either check your powered subwoofer for operation or look through your operators manual for a sub mute function.

My pioneer vsx-d507s keeps turning on mute randomly and I can't turn it off of mute There is no mute button. I would really like the owners manual

I have had the same problem, since there is no "mute" button on the receiver panel. My power cord on the receiver was plugged into my cable box and I was told this is not correct. I unplugged the receiver from the cable box and plugged it into my power surge protector and no more "mute"!!! Hope this helps.
