If it's in the 1st paper tray, pull out the tray and check if theres a sensor. Check if it's out of position, if it is, place it back in position. If the printer still says 'load paper' the sensor is most likely faulty.
Hi Turn it off and disconnect it from PC and from power.Reboot the PC. Connect the printer again and try to print. Look through the paper tray for any obstructions.
Loading your paper
Paper loading tips:
● Load paper with the side to be printed facing down.
● You can print photos and documents on a wide variety of paper sizes, from
8 x 13 cm (3 x 5 inch) up to 22 x 61 cm (8.5 x 24 inch). The 10 x 15 cm
(4 x 6 inch) photo paper is available with and without tabs.
● Before loading paper, pull the Main paper tray out (use the Main tray release or
the tray grips) and slide out the paper-width and paper-length guides to make
room for the paper. After loading paper, adjust the guides to fit close to the edges
of the paper without bending the paper. When finished loading paper, push the
Main tray back in all the way.
● Load only one type and size of paper at a time in the same tray.
● After loading paper, extend the Output tray extension to catch your printed pages.
Use the directions in the following table to load the most commonly used paper sizes
into the printer.

Your model has two trays on the front. The bottom one of these two is where you load the blank paper. 1. Raise the output tray to load paper into the main input tray. 2. Slide the paper-width guide to its outermost position. 3. Tap a stack of paper on a flat surface to align the edges, and then check the paper for the following: • Make sure it is free of rips, dust, wrinkles, and curled or bent edges. • Make sure all the paper in the stack is the same size and type. 4. Insert the stack of paper into the main input tray with the short edge forward and the side to be printed down. Slide the stack of paper forward until it stops. 5. Slide the paper-width guide inward until it stops at the edge of the paper. Do not overload the main input tray; make sure the stack of paper fits within the main input tray and is no higher than the top of the paper-width guide. 6. Lower the output tray. 7. Pull the output tray extender towards you, as far as it will go.
Look at the input tray it shows a symbol of an original.
If the lines on the symbol face you , then put the paper in face UP.
If the lines are on the folded corner of the symbol, then place the paper in face DOWN.
If you are still not sure, place the paper in face UP and press "COPY"
If it copies the page, then that is the correct orientation.
If thre copy is blank, repeat the copy test with the document face DOWN.
what i might do is to remove that application using control panel, add and remove software. uninstall the printer software disconnect printer from pc, reboot/restart, go to printers in control panel remove all printers listed, then make sure you have right software for your printer. shut down this time.reconnect printer cable and boot back up. reinstall the soft ware with printer on.

I experienced the same problem on a HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-one printer. The problem was that the light-blue plastic piece, which covers half of the printing paper tray, had gotten out of alignment with the gray piece which covers the other half of the paper stack. Pull the blue plastic tray out and align it properly.
