Error Red On

• The cover is open. Close the cover.

i have insalled new toner and the printer still has a blinking red light, i restarted the printer and nothing...help

It's a driver issue, find the manufacturer's website for any known fixes to your flashdrive.

I believe you asked the same question before.... Make sure the waste toner cover / plug is removed and that you shook the cartridge to loosing the toner. You may have recieved a bad or defective toner cartridge...Good Luck

the c7100 error is a problem with the Auto Toner Sensor.

the first this to check is that you are using a genuine toner cartridge.

if you are please try to re-set the developer by keying in 1087 1087

then 130 press start and then start again once this is done please press stop twice, then 001 and start

if this does not fix it it may need either a new sensor or a new developer unit.
