A friend gave me an optical tape measure ranging 600, I've never used one and don't understand quite what it's for or how. Not sure if it's for surveying or how to even go about using it.

It's for general purpose measurements. Usually, point it at a wall and press the measure button. It will indicate the distance from where you're standing to the wall. With a little practice, you'll be an expert and won't need to use a tape measure for the longer distances.

I dont know what it measures by? my dad bought a lufkin 100' 1706 and he is trying to figure out how to use it because the measurements seem to be off. for example he compares it to other measuring...

Hi...sorry for the bad image but if you can make it out ...this tape measure is offered in two types of measurements either Feet/Inches/Eighths or Tenths/Hundredths ...if your father's is off by an inch my guess is that the Lufkin is measuring in Tenths/Hundredths.

Hope this helped!

I have the H5CR-B 100 to 240 V AC digital timer. How do I change the timer from minutes to seconds?

You have a DIN panel mount SPDT (single pole double throw) timer.
This is input ON delay timer that receives input that causes timer to start a delay countdown, or signal off delay timer that receives input that causes timer to turn on for specified countdown, or a cycle timer that repeats same program pattern over and over in a set amount of time like every 5 hours and 12seconds, or an ordinary interval timer.
Apparent manuals:$FILE/D19H5CR0302.pdf

Manual says: Field-selectable time ranges from 0.001 second to 9999 hours.
My impression is that this means timer can be set for durations ranging from .001 seconds to 9999 using the 1-4 keys

Manual says: Change the timing range with the increment keys (1 to 4).
Use keys 1-4 to change data when setting timer when in the set mode.
It looks like you set seconds or milliseconds with #1 key

Looking for a manual for bandflex gym lt2000

Exercise/Workout manual is listed above from from Jamie in Ohio

Assembly manual also from Jamie in Ohio

Stamina no longer supplies the replacement bands. I ordered bulk bungee cords 8mm (.38 a foot), 10mm (.45 a foot) and 12mm (.75 a foot) from VER Sales Inc.

12 foot of each should be enough to redo both sides of the FlexBand Gym (make your own measurements) Don't forget to tape the area of the section you will be cutting to avoid frayed ends.

You will have to dissasemble and reuse the hooks from the old bungee ends.

Is this an Auto-ranging multimeter or does it have several range settings such as 2V, 20V, 200V, 750V, etc.?

If it is an auto-ranging, you will have 2 voltage selections: AC (alternating current) which will have a sine wave similar to this: ~, or DC (direct current) which will have a symbol similar to this: =. AC is mainly used to measure the voltage in your home or voltage to appliances, either 110V/120V or 220V/240V. DC is used to measure voltages such as in electronic assemblies, computers, etc.

You need to know whether you are measuring AC or DC to get an accurate reading. You also need to make sure you have the meter on a high enough range if it is not an auto-ranging meter. The best thing to do is start on a high range and work down, although most meters have an overload protection.

To measure current you must "open the circuit" and place the meter leads in the circuit. This should only be done if you are very familiar using the meter. Current is measured in Amps (A), milliamps (mA), or microamps (uA). There is little use for the common person to measure current.

Not sure what you are going to use it for. Computer power supply, perhaps?

There are some tutorials on youtube that may be beneficial. Here's one:

Here is another:

You can do a search once there for others. Just insert "multimeter" in the Search box.

Not sure if I have answered your request sufficiently, but if you have more questions, just use the Comment button.

Do not know how to operate

First, be sure and focus the eyepiece on what you desire to measure distance to. Begin the measurement with the range dial set to minimum. Slowly tury the dial until the grey-blue image and the yellow image overlap each other. Read the measurement. If you suspect it is in error, you can calibrate the 400 or 1000 or 1200 by turning the screw slot within the range dial using an object you know the distance to. If the two images are off in the vertical direction, there's a screw below the range finder to adjust that. Turn it very little. Regarding the model 610, mostly the same except to calibrate it, merely spread the adjustment knob apart (spring loaded) and turn the part of it nearest your eyes so the yardage matches the distance.
