Make sure the program that your using doesn't have the camera offline.

Then if the driver installed properly and you see the camera listed in the device manager then the next step would be to open up the LCD. You'll need to turn off the laptop.

Take the rubbers off of the lcd bezel then unscrew the screws out of there. Take off the lcd front bezel and this will expose the screen and also expose the built in webcam. Make sure the connector for the webcam is actually plugged in. You might have to reseat the connector or best thing is disconnect it and then reconnect it back.

Now go ahead and turn it on and use the webcam program and see if it works, if it still doesn't work then the built in webcam is bad.

How do i get Sansai webcam to work on my pc?

To help you install and configure Sansui webcam with your computer, please follow the step-by-step instructions given below:
Modern webcams require very little user input to install. Most webcams should install themselves automatically after you plug them in. If your webcam doesn't automatically install, all you'll need is the driver file from the manufacturer's website.
- Plug the webcam into a USB port on your computer. If the webcam is built-in to your computer, skip down to Step 4. Plug the webcam directly into your computer, not into a USB hub.
- Wait for the webcam to be installed automatically. Most operating systems will automatically detect and install the necessary software for your webcam. If this doesn't happen, read on.
- You may be prompted to search for the webcam drivers. Your operating system can usually search online automatically.
- Install the software on the disc that came packaged with the webcam. This should install the drivers for the webcam, as well as any additional video software that may come with it. If you don't have the disc, read on.
- Visit manufacturer's support site. If the webcam doesn't install automatically, and you don't have a disc, you can download the drivers from the manufacturer's website.
- Install the downloaded drivers. You may be prompted to restart your computer.
- Open a program that will use your webcam.

My lenevo laptop doesnt detect the built in webcam...

As you had updated the driver for the Webcam for many a times and they hadn't helped you, you should have gone to the Manufacturer's service center.

How do i use digital live cam on samsung r580

It should already be detected by your OS.The digital livecam on the R580 is interal and built into the case above the lcd display. It's not a device you need to add via a USB cable On this model Samsung provide Cyberlink You Cam preloaded on the machine. Starting the app detects your integral camera (and allows many extra effects to be added) Youcam provides Youtube support and recording functions with filters and effects, also capturing audio via the interal mic positioned bottom left of keyboard.
support page for youcam 2.0
http://www.cyberlink.com/CS/support/enu/support_index.jsp
If you simply start camera functions (without youcam) on yahoo messenger or windows messenger you should find its already detected by those programs and installed as a webcam in windows 7 anyway,so a very minimal setup process.

I do have a logitech webcam,but dont have a software to install.where do i get a free software to download?here's my logitech M/N :V-UAM27

Hi,

Here is the things you have to do:

1. Download QuickCam 8.4.8 with driver for WinXP.

2. Install WinRAR if not already installed yet.

3. Open the setup installer qc848enu.exe and unpack its contents to a folder.
Alternatively, right click on qc848enu.exe and select Extract to qc848enuoption.

4. Insert or plug in the Logitech QuickCam Messenger to a USB port if not already done so.

5. An Driver Software Installationã icon in systray (notification area) should appear, which will pop up detailed message if click. It should fail, and ã¢ï¿½ï¿½Add Hardware Wizardã¢ï¿½ï¿½ dialog window will appear.

Choose to install the driver manually by instructing the Wizard to locate and look for the web cam driver inside the Drivers folder under the unpacked folder of the qc848enu.exe setup program. You can use browser button to select the folder.

6. Windows Vista should grab the XP driver and install it properly.

7. Download the latest version (10.5.1) of Vista compliant QuickCam software from Logitech to install the software on Vista.

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/435/3779&hub=1&cl=roeu,en?section=downloads&bit=&osid=1

8. Run the setup (qc1051enu) normally. You may need to skip the detection of webcam near the end of installation process.
