Try a different patch cord,

check the fuse in the power supply section if blown sometimes due to power fluctuation.

This is NOT your service centre site and you have made a complaint to the wrong forum but I shall help .Your repairer unfortunately is not sure of the fault and this is the case with many for not keeping the ethics of truth and promise.
I would not like you to attempt a repair which could be as this high since these sets- 29'new TV's are now marketed at very low price. If you invest this much and if the set fails Check out with the nearest dealer if you can have your set exchanged with a value for the TV in the present condition . If so negociate and decide as you will get few years of warranty.
If not ask for warranty on the new board or make a complaint to your consumer complaint forum... make a threat at least. and the work will be done faster.

More than likely it's activating the protection circuitry. Most of the time televisions won't give you a sign of trouble until something actually breaks. One day they work and the next they might not. There could be a problem in the power supply or the scan section which are both internal that would inhibit operation to prevent your set from overheating and causing a problem external to the TV like a fire. If your set is over 10 years old, replace it. If it's quite new but out of warranty then get an estimate at a reliable electronics repair store.

seems to be an issue with picture tube.Please try after changing picture tube

Check the fuse in the plug has not blown.

Check that the power socket is working for other devices by trying them where the TV would normally plug in.

If still under warranty or if you have no electronic repair experience you should take the set back to the shop or to a repair person. Some of the solutions described below can be dangerous, TV's are very hazardous to service. Even when plugged out, TV's can store very high voltages. Could be several things- a 15 cent fuse, some solder joints that fail due to expansion and contraction of the circuit boards. Hard to say. Look for parts that look or smell burnt, might help you narrow it down. The fact that it stopped suddenly, with no gradual deterioration makes me think that something blew, and it's a matter of replacing it. No tube damage or anything more serious, just a local fuse or cap. let someone have a look Good luck
