the lamp needs replacement.as per the manual.
the light flashes 5 times.this is the indication to replace lamp.
replacing the lamp should solve the lamp.
Lamp strikes 5, Red LED flashes once over and over the solution is lamp replacement.
for getting lamp you can get it from www.partstore.com This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
If you replace the lamp but do not reset the lamp hours then the projector will not ignite the lamp to stop it blowing up the lamp and causing further problems. You can reset the hours without the image, on the x2 version you turned on for 1 minute then held down the volume up and down buttons for 10 seconds but all versions vary. The infocus website can usually tell you how though you may have to look for it a bit. Failing that try a firmware update available from the infocus website that should erase its brain so you can start again, hopefully you have kept the original leads it was shipped with to do this otherwise it will cost you another £20
it can't strike the lamp. either the lamp is dead or the ballast has dried-up caps. a colorwheel malfunction will also cause the lamp to not strike, but you would get a red led, not a green. if the lamp center has bulges, cloudyness, and/or black spots, replace the lamp. otherwise, you'll want to replace the ballast. you can send it in for repair (or buy the part and do it yourself) from an infocus service center. try av solutions in ny. they're really good. www.avsolutionsny.com
I use an infocus for my church. I don't believe there is a counter shut off, or a reset that would revent the light from operating. I sugest you go ahead and replace the lamp.
the ballast is bad. the fan turns on for the colorwheel, but when the lamp doesn't strike, the fan and colorwheel turn off until it tries again. unfortunately, there are no replacement parts for the lp130.
3 red flashing is a lamp error, not the fans. the lamp has a problem striking. make sure it's pushed in and plugged in all the way. if the lamp is not that old, the power supply needs replacing.
Also having this problem."Warming up" then "lamp didn't strike" then "retrying" stuck in a loop. It's at a school where I work and nobody has reported any messages regarding the lamp hours.
if mains is ok and fan running ok, could be a bulb service issue, all lcd projectors have an internal lamp life counter which counts down and once the lamp has reached the end of its life it will not fire up and a new bulb will be required.
I believe that does mean the lamp is dead. If your model is the LP600,
you need the SP-LAMP-019. A quick search on eBay found one for $320
new. From the InFocus website it is $499 so that is not a bad deal. InFocus offers a 6 month warranty, so that is something you will want to keep in mind.
