I have the same problem where nothing appears on my screen and the little led does not turn on when i push the power button. Is there a way to repair the c317 and C318 capacitor on the board like you said in solution 2?

My monitor turns on and off. Is it fixable? It is a 19" Proview monitor only 2 years old.

Does the light come on?

If so the back light or inverter board are bad.

    you probably did these.

    No Power.

    Answer:

Set the LCD panel power switch to ON. The LED will light up on the front of the panel.
Make sure the power cord in the back of the panel is securely connected into a power outlet.
Check the power source using another electrical device to make sure the power source is supplying sufficient voltage.

If so then the internal power supply is bad.

My monitor works fine for weeks than suddenly just goes black! I turn it off and back on and it only stays on for about three seconds than goes black again! The power light stays on!

take off the monitor data cable from pc and try to turn monitor on if appears a smal square on the screen that mean your monitor is ok , and the black screen reason maybe data cable or vga card.

note : your monitor resolution is 1680x1050 some times wrong resolution cause like this problems

if you see that is helpful please don't forget to vote me

When I first turn on the monitor I get a picture for about 1 second then it goes black. If I turn the monitor off then right back on I get the same 1 second pic then black. A different monitor works fine...

Make sure you are on the correct video setting on the monitor using the menu button.
If you are hooked up to dvi you need to make sure the monitor is on the dvi component. VGA same thing.

Hope this helps

this works for Dell monitors with a similar problem: shut down, turn off monitor and pc, turn off at wall socket, and remove power plugs from wall socket. wait about 30 seconds. plug back in, turn on, and all should be well? I have used this 3 times on a Dell PC with a Viewsonic monitor.

Proview monitor PL926WSi Screen goes out after about 5 seconds

Hello Joe,

A red or pink coloration on the screen indicates bad backlight bulbs. They are just like standard fluorescent bulbs just much smaller. When they start failing they light up with a pink color and that will make the screen look pink or red. You can change them but it may not be worth the trouble. You can do a Google search for compact fluorescent tubes and check prices.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

I have a 20 sceptre widescreen lcd monitor

Have you tried any other monitor connected to your computer since your current problem? Check your connections, make sure your VGA cable/DVI cable are in good condition. If none of that works try to RMA it to sceptre if your still within the 1 year period.
