Sounds like either the switch for the blades is not shutting off the power to the electric clutch or the clutch itself is not disengaging. I would shut the mower off and unplug the wire to the electric clutch and then start the mower and make sure the blades do not turn you may have the belt for the blades on the wrong pulley and it might be causing the blades to turn. Hope this helps.

If it takes you back to your model number & serial number, simply enter your model number and any random number for the serial. You will be able to access the manuals from there.
Yes, something special to know. If the new fuel line is going into the gas tank, be sure to cut a steep angle on the end of the line going into the gas tank. This will allow enough of the line to get into the tank where you will be able to grab it thru the gas fill opening with needle nose pliers and pull it thru.
This was my problem as well when I initially purchased. After letting it sit for a week due to frustration...I tried again. I believe that the manual is wrong when it states that the winding is clockwise and could cause the teeth to eventually wear down. I watched the motion of the speed spool when I gently tugged on the line simulating the centrifugal force...there is no way that you can wind it clockwise and expect it to stay. I simply wound it COUNTER-CLOCKWISE to get the desired result. I finished trimming the lawn and had no more problems...except for learning that I cannot edge along concrete without the line wearing quickly.
Is the pull rope in the front or rear of engine.Thinking that the string is in the front, you must throttle housing and shaft from engine. remove starter housing. There sould be a screw holding the string and spring in place.
