To Set a Cook T ime: 1. On double oven models only, press UPPER OVEN or LOWER OVEN for the one you want to set. 2. Press BAKE or CONVECT UPPER (on some models). Press the number pads to enter a temperature other than the one displayed. 3. Press COOK TIME. 4. Press the HR and MIN "up" or "down" arrow pads to enter the length of time to cook. 5. Press START/ENTER. The start time and stop time countdown will appear on the oven display. On double oven models only, when both upper and lower ovens are being used at the same time, touch UPPER OVEN or LOWER OVEN to display the respective cook time. When the stop time is reached, the oven will shut off automatically and "End" will appear on the oven display. If enabled, end-of-cycle tones will sound, then reminder tones will sound every minute. Repeat the process by choosing the other option of UPPER or LOWER OVEN
Hello & Welcome to FixYa Error code F1 is displayed due to electronic oven control failure and the only way to solve this problem is by replacing the control board which is bad. Sorry for the bad news but hope you understand... Please get back to me if you have any other questions. Kevin
Usually this is a touchpad and control panel fault but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance.
With the model number of the oven we could look up the code and be more specific about the problem.
I have a Whirlpool MOD. RBS275PDB17 single electric self-cleaning oven; although the manual is generic, it specifies, "When the cycle is completed and the oven cools, "End" will appear on the lower oven display and "LOCKED' will disappear" and "To Stop Self-Clean any time: Press UPPER/OFF, LOWER/OFF or OFF/CANCEL. If the oven temperature is too high, the door will remain locked. It will not unlock until the oven cools." Has your oven had time to cool?
