Question about Buddy GPS
Me, too. Golf Buddy charges on floor of car but something bent charging port while hooked up.
Replaced charge cord, then have to position GB so that charge cord pulls "down" on port in order to see flashing light charging in progress.
Has brand new battery Jan 2021 so not quite ready to replace it with new.
Now I know battery replacement is waste of time/money since this is a cheap product - and FYI lies about yardage of some holes LOOOOONG time reported to GB who cares nothing about a fix - so, if anything goes wrong, simply donate & buy new ... until the completion has us all gleefully putting GB in our rear view mirror

I had this on mine, it seems to be a wear and tear issue, mine has gone back to Palm for a paid repair as it is out of warranty:-(

SOURCE: Batterey wont charge, charging port real loose. Is
If the charger port is already loose and the battery doesnt accept charge anymore then you have to replace the motherboard of the laptop. Port cannot be replaced individually, you have to replace the whole part for this issue. You can contact the manufacturer of your system and if it is in warranty then they will replace it for you.Try to check the charger/ac adapter make sure no part is damaged aswell...cheers!!!

That is your bet. The rice trick. Id keep it in there for 36 hours. It will either work or not work after that period. If there is still water in there then might have to order a new unit. As for the battery I would have put that in rice too. Ya never can be too safe when it comes to water damage. If the battery did get damaged during the water incident then a new battery would likely need to be ordered.
But you are doing the right thing with the rice. Goodluck.
