Hi, check drain, in refrigerator section, your drain is blocked. open refrigerator door, look at back , inside ref. It's better to remove your produce, and shelves, for better access, check carefully, at the back of ref. above veggie drawers, check for drain and clean, if your drain is not blocked, possible condensation. Causes, hot food, high room temperature, (hot days) regular openings. whenever hot air gets inside of refrigerator, it's cool and condenses to water, check you door gasket, make sure ref. door (gasket) seal (closed) properly, first check ref drain inside of ref, sometimes they clogged up. also make visual check, to see if any water is coming from freezer. Good luck.

It's likely the condensate drain is plugged. You can access it from the back of the refrigerator. You can disconnect from the inside of the fridge and blow it out to ensure it is not blocked, then reconnect.

Where is ice-detecting sensor located in the bottom freezer refrigerator? No ice/water in door, only in freezer (Kenmore)?

On the side of the icemaker, there is a wire bale or arm that is pushed up by the accumulating ice that shuts off the icemaker.

Water at bottome of refrigerator

Under the draws in the back, there should be a drain hole that drains water down to the drain pan under the unit. Check to make sure it's not blocked with food or frozen water.

Kenmore 795-75202400 icemaker problem.

Good day,
Either the water valve opens to fill the ice maker cavity, and doesn't shut off soon enough, causing the ice maker to overflow.
Normal file time is approx. 7 seconds.
This is the most common problem.
As well, it is possible the micro switch in the ice-maker that tells the valve to open and close has malfunctioned.
This is all based on the fact that the freezer maintains a normal temperature.
To test the freezer for consistency, place a plastic glass in the freezer half full of water.
Check it in 8 hours. It should be frozen solid. Then place the glass in a plastic bowl, and lay the glass on it's side. Recheck in 24 hours. The ice should remain in the glass.
If not, there is a problem with the refrigeration system.

I have a kenmore refrigerator model 36369262991. I have water accumulating on my top shelf. It drips from the thermostat control panel. what is wrong?

I had a similar problem on a Whirlpool Fridge. In fact, there is a good possibility that your Kenmore is made my Whirlpool. As you probably know, Sears doesn't make appliances, but contracts with well-known appliance makers to manufacture kenmore-branded products.

If your fridge is an auto-defrost model, whenever it auto-defrosts, water from the melted ice collects in a tray behind the freezer, and drains into an evaporation tray at the bottom of the fridge through a drain tube. Over a period of time, the drain tube can become clogged, and instead of draining out of the freezer, the water overflows into the fridge. The clue is that the problem is intermittent -- the dripping stops between defrost cycles.

The fix is to remove the liner panels from the freezer, melt and sponge out any collected ice, clear ice from the drain with hot water, and clear any gunk from the drain tube with compresssed air or a flexible "snake." I used 1/8" pvc tubing as a snake.

It isn't hard to do, but if you are nervous about disassembling parts of your fridge, you will need to get a pro to do it.

Ice maker flooded top freezer compartment

It may be just the water control valve on back of refrigerator. Put tap water in ice maker and lower lever for on. After ice is made, does it drop to tray? At this time when empty is the time the control valve is asked for water. The problem could be in valve on back or the inside ice maker itself. If you can try a few test with me I will help you locate the problem. Let me know what you find as I go through this with you. Sea Breeze

Water accumulating in top shelf of refrigerator

Get yourself a thermeter and see what the tempeature is in the freezer. It should be "0" degrees or colder. If it is hanging around 30 degrees +/- you may have a compressor or control problem. You may have a drain tube clogged that takes the water out of the freezer. I am not familar with your model but many freezers are similar.

Whirlpool Top Mount Refridgerator is Leaking

the problem lies behind the freezer back wall panel, remove the panel, the ground (green) wire on the top left corner and the icemaker

all the ice build up under the evaperator will have to be removed, a good hair drier works well, direct the air at the center hole in the bottom of the metal panel all the ice out of the center hole will need to be melted out to be a success it will take a little time. you can pour some water down the hole and if you hear it going into the bottom drain pan then the tube is clear of ice.
