Question about Cobra Radio Communications
Push talk button and say what I want to say but they can't hear. ..we are on sale channel
It is very likely that you haven't got the same CTCSS or DCS codes matched. Try turning them off on both radios.

Hello Bo Duke,
If one radio won't walk to the other my guess if that you have the Privacy Code function set up incorrectly.
The privacy code function mutes the radio unless it receives a signal from another radio transmitting the same privacy code. If Privacy Codes are turned on for Radio A but not turned on for Radio B then you will be able to transmit from Radio A to Radio B but not from Radio B to Radio A. If Privacy Codes are turned on for both radios but each unit is set to a different code then neither radio will be able to talk to the other.
Make sure that the radios are both set to the same privacy code or that the privacy code function is turned off on both radios. You can find more information on how this function is set in the radio's Owner's Manual.
Hope this helps!

I believe you do not need to hold the monitor button when changing channels
Push the talk button till you have the channel you want then push monitor button to accept
Hope this works

Had fixed the same problem yesterday. My cobra worked when it wanted to, when it didn't it looked like you explained. I found out that on my cobra the blue wire on the mike connector was broken. When it disconnects, no sound. after soldering, everything works fine.

go to page 35 of the manual ("http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/KXTG1032.pdf" if you don't have it) good luck!

Here is a copy of the user manual: http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/SX900%2002-22-08.pdf Double check the programming of your frequency and interference eliminator code.
Then you might check your Qt filter and your call tones. Set both to the zero (off) position and see if you have the same issue.
