Lost all digital channels - Sony KDL-52W3100

only digital signal is available now analog has been switched off no longer transmitting. You could try returning in all of your channels from the main menu the tv can do this automatically but you need to select the procedure . retune the digital channels only
1. click on the home button
2. scroll sideways till you reach settings
3. in settings scroll down or up and click on digital set-up (centre button of your scroll control)
4.then scroll down to, and click on digital auto tuning (centre button of your scroll control) this will activate automatic channel tuning the tv will do the rest and will wipe out old settings and retune in all channels

From the looks of it the tuner seems to be malfunctioning. You are able to get picture through your DVD recorder because the signal is directly fed to the audio/video proecessing circuits , when you connect via the HDMI, Component or RCA ports at the back of the tv. Since this mode of connection also ensures better quality signal I suggest that you continue using it as this problem can only be resolved by replacing the main A/V board on which the tuner is located. The board costs about 100-125$ and is not very hard to replace. So if you wish to replace it, then let me know and I will give you the detailed instructions along with the link to the part.

I have the same problem, the only solution I found so far is to disconnect the TV from the mains supply - not very comfortable. The problem seems to happen more and more frequently.

Your TV has a dual tuner - one for analogue and one for digital although they are contained on the same tuner board. It's possible that the digital tuner has failed, in which case the tuner board will most likely need to be replaced, but often this problem can be resolved with a "hard" reset. Turn the TV off and unplug it. Remove all the cables from the back, leave it for at least 5 minutes and then re-connect only the cable from the tuner source. i.e aerial/antenna. Make sure you are in Digital TV mode (DTV), then run the channel scan again.

If it works turn the TV off, re-connect all of your other devices and you should be able to resume using the TV as normal.

If this doesn't work, you may need to have the digital tuner replaced. The analogue and digital channel feeds are from the same source. As the analogue channels are working there is no obvious fault with the feed or cables.

Please try this first and then post back for further assistance if needed.

(1)Reset your tv from setup menu then auto tune analogu chanel.
(2)if still no sound then update your tv softwear from sony site.
(3)If still sound not then need to replaced main board problem.

You need to make sure your reception is strong enough to receive digital reception otherwise you will only receive analogue reception and dvd playback ability is normally nothing to do with the TV's reception.
Ensure you have strong reception before doing an auto tune to search for the channels. Good luck.

this is a fault of your digital tuner on the mainboard on some models they can be replaced alone others you may need to replace the whole board

Got to -

Menu -> settings -> set-up menu -. auto start up

Rescan your tv for all channels.

I have the same problem, If anyone could help it would be appreciated.... I have the coaxial cable plugged in which on another TV had all 85 channels, and I changed the TV from analog to digital and reprogrammed it but I still only get like 4 or 5 local channels?

Hello - I just posted something too. Not sure if its the same problem as yours. If you get a response from elsewhere, please let me know. I'll do the same. In our case we have a blank screen with a bar running across the top of the screen reading 'No signal' on left side and 'C611' on the right side. The 611 might be the last channel we were on !
