What power supply are you using? You need the older 6volt unit. Next, look down inside where you plug the power plug in. Many times the tip of the plug will break off and get stuck down inside the hole - if you see a piece of yellow plastic down there, you need to remove it with a small pointed hobby knife (Xacto). After you remove that, then try plugging the power supply in and wait a minute. IF it doesn't automatically come on, THEN push the power button. Okay?

Try to assist the machine mechanism. Turn the lenses (force is no necessary) when turning on or off. This should unlock the mechanism.
