When I try to play a dvd, the tv/dvd displays "reading", then "incorrect disc" and ejects the disc. It is about 3 years old and used to play fine, but now will not play any dics. Any ideas?

This is a common problem for all combo units. The high voltage of the TV section attracts large amounts of particulate dust from the air and often it collects inside the DVD unit. The best way to deal with this is to clean the lens of the DVD unit u sing a cotton swab and alcohol. The store bought "cleaners" MAY work, but that is rare. These cleaners are nothing but small brushes embedded into a disc. They attempt to brush off hte dust. This rarely works. Open up the unit (if you feel comfortabel in doing so) to access the DVD section. Remove the top cover and carefully clean the lens. That should resolve the problem.

this a laser unit dirty or dead, needs to be cleaned with a laser cleaner kit or replace the laser unit
