How do I stream netflix to my t.v. using my netgear router

If your TV has a Netflix app installed, you simply need to connect your TV to the network either with an ethernet cable or wirelessly.

If your TV does not have internet connectivity, you must connect a device that allows you to stream Netflix (like a PS3, Wii, Roku, Blu-ray player or even a laptop). That device must connected to your home router (wired or wirelessly).

Cant get online with router conected

you will need to check the settings of the router. If you connect the computer directly to the modem, does it work ? If that works then your modem is working properly. Now connect the modem and the computer to the router. open the set up page of the router. Change the settings of the router manually according to the Internet service provider.
Once you have all the proper settings you will be able to go online using the router. Now change the wireless settings of the router. set up your wireless network. on your computer connect to the wireless network.

Start up and Signal problems. need to download WGT624 set up

.chk files are normally those produced by the system after a hard drive repair or some such, and shows lost clusters on your drive.
Your Broadband modem feeds the router (your problem device), which in turn connects to the computer's Network Card, the one with the RJ45 connector. The smaller connector goes to your modem, for use with Dial-up signals, not broadband. Cable modem feeds router, router routs signals to various computers, via RJ45 cables. Your router is probably for 802.11g signals, used by the majority of networked computers. The 311 in your computer plugs in to the 624 router. They work together to get you on the Internet.

Why does my WGT624 keep loosing connection. I would be on the Internet and for some reason, I would loose connection to the Internet. I have a Dell Inspiron...1521 computer.

In my case too this happened initially with my lenovo y410 laptop with netgeat router. In laptops if th ewireless network is set with "public" profile then the connection is sometimes dropped by the driver. If you or only a few persons are the only user(s) of your router and your WLAN is securely encrypted, then you can change the wireless settings of your laptop to be in "private" network, which will solve your problem.

Wireless connection

Make sure that your computer is getting a valid IP address from the router. If your wireless network is secured, you might as well consider checking the wireless settings.

No internet connection with laptop computers in home

Good day!

If your Desktop computer is hardwired to the router and your laptop computers can't connect wirelessly, it could be your wireless computers are not synchronized with your router by not having the same settings as the router.

You can use the desktop machine to access your router web interface (setup page) to check the wireless settings such as SSID (Network Name-> Name of your wireless signal shown on your laptop computers), channel and security (wether it is WEP or WPA encryption)

The channel and network name will be automatically detected by the wireless computers. If you have an encryption/security on the router, you need to type the password on the wireless computers for them to authenticate.

Try these and post back if there's any progress

NETGEAR WGT624 Router Troubleshooting

Hello!

Inability to access certain websites is due to three main factors.
  1. Security on the web browser is set too high
  2. MTU not set on the router properly
  3. Secured websites
Lowering Down the Security Settings on Internet Explorer

Step 1: Double-click Internet Explorer and click Tools.
Step 2: Select Internet Options, click Security then Custom Level. A window similar to Step 3 will appear.
Step 3: Select Medium-low under the Reset to drop-down menu.

If this did not work, you may try to:

-- enable the MTU on the router.
-- forward port 443 on the router
