I need a BIOS upgrade for Motherboard:VT8367-8233 AMD Athlon XP2000+ 1.67 Ghz. BIOS ID:03/27/2002-VT8367-8233-6A6LVE1CC-00-None BIOS OEM:K7VTA3V3 Ver:3.0 03/27/2002 - 6.00 PG Chipset:VIA 82C3099 rev 0 SuperIO:ITE 8705/SiS 950 rev 2 at port 002E Any ideas where to get an updated BIOS? Main reason is to try and use a SATA 500 GB HD. I see the Drive in the Raid sw but cannot access the drive. I thought maybe the BIOS is too old? Any suggestion would be welcome.

CPU (processor) speed dropped to 1.09GHZ

Go back into the Bios and change the settings back. If this does not correct the issue you may have another issue. If this is a laptop you can reset the bios by locating the Bios reset switch, usually appears as a pin hole on the bottom of the computer, if this is a desktop then you need to use the Bios Reset jumper on the motherboard. It sounds as thought Windows is not reading the CPU type and speed correctly so you need to undo the change you made to get it back up to speed.

Driver

Thats a prosessor, theres just one driver for that, and still its not a must have.

now if its a motherboard that you need drivers for, now just the processor, go over here and select the right motherboard, you will get the drivers you need.

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx

and you can get a prosessor driver from here for AMD
http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/drivers.aspx

Let me know how that goes.
Thanks,

Processor upgrade

Need to look at the motherboard specs along with the processor "Socket". It will usually be a 754 or 939 depending on what your motherboard says. I wouldn't try too fast and set yourself up for disappointment. I would upgrade the RAM before the processor.

Issues in Upgrading BIOS

Actually, your motherboard is a GA-7ZMMH, which we were lucky enough to see in the BIOS ID string. You can find the latest BIOS's from Gigabyte's website at: http://www.giga-byte.com/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=1315 It looks like you're on the F5 rev. I would suggest the F10 rev, and only go to the F11b rev if you need the support for the Athlon XP 2600+. If you are not upgrading your BIOS for CPU support, or you do not need to support a CPU faster than the Athlon XP 2200+, then go with the F10 rev.
