use the procedure in the link
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks?dv...HR-753&hits=50You have to enter a code specifc
your region.
Using the Remote:
Make sure there is no DVD in it.
Make sure it's in DVD mode.
Turn it off.
Turn it on.
Wait for it to start up (showing DVD mode in the display)
Press Repeat (for a half a second?).
Enter the code for your region
Region 1 use 2,9,3,3,4,9
Region 2 use 5,7,5,3,8,9
Region 3 use 5,6,7,3,2,9
Region 4 use 7,6,8,8,4,9 <----- try this for region free setting
Region 5 use 5,3,8,1,4,9
Region 6 use 2,4,4,6,2,9
When you get to the second to last digit you *may* see your current region.
When you see "9" appear you have entered the code correctly.
Now be quick and eject and close the DVD drive before it vanishes.
Use the buttons on the machine to open/close the drive.
You have to be confident and quick with your button presses; it's
very sensitive to pauses etc. If it does not work the first time keep
trying.
Good Luck.
I have same problem. Was working ok but suddenly will not recognise any discs including ones from batch previously ok. (Plays DVDs ok)
