Sound picture remains but the sound shut off. TV is brand new just set up today(SHARP AQUOS).also hooked up new HD motorolla box.

You may want to check to make sure that the tv output select (Menu > Options > Output Select > enter ) is set to fixed and not variable. Also. bypass the HD box and run the coaxial straight into the tv from the wall. If you have sound chances are you need to reset your cable box.

This hapen only on HDMI conection. Try to update the firmware, but beeing in warranty you should call an authorized tech. If your from Montreal area I can do it for you.

Speaker distortion on SHARP 37" Aquos Hi Def
When you are changing channels you are using the tuner of the sat reeiver. the tv does not know you are changing a channel . It is just receiving a constant signal from the SAT receiver. I would suspect a problem with the receiver. Try another one first .

DVD/VCR hook up to HDTV. No audio on DVD or VCR, no video on VCR
When you use component audio, it may shut off the side a/v audio settings. Try restoring all defualts (any changes you have made will be lost by doing so) according to p. 32 of the manual:
Menu --> Setup --> Reset --> Yes

New Sharp Aquos LCD 46 TV
If you hooked up the satelite box to your tv Automaticly the Satelite box is the one who pick up the channels (from the satelite)
In this case your tv is acting as a monitor only. Try to connect your tv with HDMI cable or COMPONENT cable for best picture. Don't use RF antenna input to hook up your Satelite Box. Hope this Helps

it sounds like a problem within your vga connection on the tv check around and see if there is some firmware for this fix or right click on your desktop were there is no icons and select properties select settings tab and set ur display as needed.

Tv shutting off
it sounds like it may be a capacitor problem and it may be linked to the electricity you receive adding a battery back up of sufficient quality will smooth out the electric current and also **** up the spikes from the power and light company. I have seen many aquas suffer from capacitor failure but it may be an expensive fix.
check your electric output and see if it can handle the load for this tv.

Change your input source. You are probably on Input Source "TV". My HDMI cable is plugged in INPUT 4 so make sure that your TV is set to the right INPUT.
