Turn the vac over so the brush is facing up.. There is a cover plate that surrounds the brush.. Take the screws out and remove the cover plate.. Pull up on the side of the brush that the belt is on.. Replace the belt.. The belt goes around the metal shaft and the brush.. Push the brush back in place.. It might be a bit tough going in because the belt causes some tension.. Put the cover plate and screws back in..

Good luck ! Please don’t forget to rate well ;o)

I have a bravo 2 eureka bagged upright suction is very bad changed bag cleaned roller still bad what should i do next

Replace the belt if it is over a few months old. Even if the suction is great it won't pick up dirt very well if the belt is stretched out.

I am looking for the filter for the Eureka bagless Altima vaccum cleaner

There should be an toll free # to call for eureka and they can direct you to the nearest authorized eureka service center in you area. If its a new model places like wallmart wont stock it. There are so many vacuum makes and models its impossible for any one business to stock every single bag, belt, filter etc. for them all. But a decent vacuum repair shop should be able to get it for you.

Eureka vacuum cleaner

That means that the belt2_bing.gif is starting to wear. When the belt starts to stretch it can't turn the roller brush against the resistance of the carpet and therefore doesn't pick up well. You simply need to change the belt. Here is a link to the belt you need and to the manual:

Vaccum cleaner belt change

If you've put a new belt on and you still are getting a rubber smell, then odds are that your agitator (the rotating brush) is not turning freely, and that means either (a) you need to remove the end caps and remove any hair / debris that is under those end caps, or (2) the bearing(s) of the agitator are bad. Depending on the model of the Sharp (which was not provided), you may be able to order just the defective bearings and replace them (or take the agitator to a vacuum shop to have them do it), or you can (or may need to) order the agitator assembly complete.

Just need to know how to change the belt on my vacuum cleaner

Step 1: Lower handle to floor to change belt
Step 2: Remove the two screws from the top hood on the foot
Step 3: Lift hood to remove
Step 4: Lift right end of brushroll (the belt end)
Step 5: Remove and discard belt.
Step 6: Place new belt around motor shaft.
Step 7: Place new belt around brushroll pulley.
Step 8: Align left end cap with base. Push end cap securely into
place. Make sure the square on the brushroll cap is in
place
Step 9: Pull right side of brushroll to stretch belt. Secure right
end cap into base.
IMPORTANT
Step 10: Rotate brushroll by hand several full rotations to properly
position belt.
Step 11: Place hood back on cleaner. Replace and tighten
two screws.
Step 12: Return vacuum to upright position.

How to change the belt

How do I change the belt on a Eureka Mighty Mite II.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Normally the Mighty Mite II does not have a belt unless you have the model with the turbo head and then I believe it is a geared belt and then you can pup the belt from your local vacuum cleaner dealer or the Eureka factory parts dept. there are 2 to 4 screws on the bottom of the turbo head and then I believe the top will come up and then you can get to the belt. The average belt change is every year if it is a geared belt for the best cleaning or if you have a flat belt it is every 4 to 6 months. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
