I downloaded and installed the driver from driverguide.com. and now the problem, my card will not detect anything unless I change the setting to ad-hoc, then it will detect my router and connect, but.. my p.o.s puter will not connect to the internet. please help, the router is used for other pc's with no problems! thanks

um not sure, but if you have the disk that came with your router run it and fill in the wireless wizard. Also, on my 6520 the "wireless" led doesnt light up unless i have a device connected that is wireless. Your laptop may be incorrectly setup

Yes.Get rid of it.I have a Satellite also and do agree configuration was dodgy at first but the range in Wi-fi was not even 50 ft. as opposed the 100 ft. promised. But finally, after it shorted out my dial tone like most other 6520's I just went back to my trusty speedstream 4100.Good-luck.

SOURCE: can't get a wireless router to work with a speedstream 4200
From the telephone outlet the dsl line (telephone line) connects to the dsl jack of the Speedstrem 4200 DSL Modem.
From the modems open port you connect one Cat5 network cable into the port (in back) of the Belkin N Wireless router.
For wireless internet connection to begin you must also do a wireless set-up on the software side of the Belkin router or through their web interface.
