First try removing any accessories (for eg HD drive, hard drive or network adaptor) from the console and turn on 360. Plug each device back in one by one and turn on to check which device possibly causing the problem.

You should also try using another 360 AV cable sometimes this is the culprit.

If the above methods made no difference then the Xbox 360 might be overheating and which will eventually lead to RROD (Red Ring Of Death - 3 red ligthts) or E74 error message (1 red light) indicating repair.

You can buy the repair kit off ebay from £4 - £7 and carry out the repairs yourself with plenty of Youtube videos on the net just google it or if dont dont feel confident i can repair for you.

If this helps please vote...thankyou!

Sorry i forgot to mention before buying using any repair kit or paying someone to repair it - check whether your Xbox 360 console is still in warranty as its most likely Microsofts fault not yours and they should repair it for free.

Hey!
I had the same problem - there might not be anything wrong. I moved my Xbox360 from my nicer 1080p tv to a 480p tv and it woudln't display an image because I set my xbox to output at the full 1080p HD setting. Try resetting your xbox to the default system settings or use the regular AV composite cables ( red yellow white) instead of the component ones ( 4 cables )
Hope that helps!

Blurry picture, some color is off

It sound like your tv needs convergence repair. There is a couple of possible causes to this problem on this particular model. One will be a missing voltage due to a loose conection on the fly back transformer, it may cause a fuse to open; it may also be a bad convergence power supply module, or a bad convergence module.

Xbox 360 is on , but no Picture/Sound

DO NOT USE THE TOWEL ONE!!!
THE TOWEL ONLY HEATS IT UP MORE AND THE 2 X CLAMPS INSIDE WILL VIBRATE ONLY 2 MAKE THE MAIN XBOX CHIP 2 COME OUT OF ITS PLACE.... SO THIS IS WHAT U DO!!! First Get a Screw driver and take out the covers of the xbox and ull see a metal sheeting. Then take out all the screws from the metal board. then take out the other things (take out the fan last) Then If its the graphics chip thats broken then u need a new one but if its out of place, replace it and put the xbox bak 2gether. The  the prob shud not happen again. This is what happened 2 me only last week. it shud only take 30 mins 2 fix.
But the other prob could be the cord cause the cord might be old faulty or broken cause my friend had dat prob.

Xbox 360-hear sound, but no picture

sounds like a problem with the video scaler chip or HANNA. Sometimes the heat from the motherboard can cause it to malfunction. Go to you local video game store that's independently owned and see if they can fix it. good luck
