Can you help with instructions on how to remove the Bezel off a gateway 7322gz laptop. I need to get it off to get to the motherboard and do a deep cleaning and replace the DC input
The hinges on the laptop are covered with plastiic which is part of the part where your gateway logo is.with the laptop closed unclip those 2 parts from around the hinges. then open the laptop flat and pull the pieces from around the hinges. this will start to bring up the part with the logo.that part is clipped in also so use a small flat screwdriver to remove it. once that is off it will expose 3 screws that keep the keyboard in place.remove those screws and slide your keyboard up to release it from the bottom. when that is done you will see a metal plate. remove the screws that hold it down and remove it. your fan and board are then exposed. Good Luck

If you havent yet received a response, here it is:
First, turn the notebook over so that the bottom is up. Remove the 2 screws at the back (where all input devices are located) and I think also the one above where it is imprinted "Gateway 7322" (w/input rating and such).
WIth a flat-bladed scre driver (I recommend taping the tip so it doesn't gouge the notebook), insert it just under the Internet/email/zoom button - above & between the Prt Scn and Scroll keys. Gently pry up, and get the bezel to pop up some. DOing the same thing, go between the F1 & F2 keys and gently pry up the bezel there. With the LCD Screen all the way open (and flat), use fingers to gently manouver/pry the bezel off - being VERY CAREFUL you dont yank out the flat, white ribbon cable that makes all the buttons operate, which is attached to the bezel on one end and the motherboard on the other. Using fingers on the brown insertion area, gently move upwards the brown insertion socket to allow the white ribbon cable to come out. Too much force will break the ribbon enclosure, causing you MUCH greif and expense!! Take it from experience...lol
Good luck!

Hi. I have the same 7322GZ notebook computer which overheats all the time. All i want to do is expose the cpu and heat sink/fan so i can clean them. Can you give me some insight on how to do that?
I am pretty mechanically inclined but i dont want to break anything as this was not a cheap laptop.
Thanks!
