I have a panasonic pt-60lc14 and I can't get it to turn on, we had just replaced the lamp, but didn't reset the lamp hour meter, could that be the reason my tv went out and will not come back on, the light still blinks red.

Panasonic Projection TV Lamp Timer Reset
Your lamp will probably last a lot longer than the TV thinks it should. This procedure will reset the lamp timer so you don't have to look at that annoying message every time you turn your tv on. Remember that the "lamp" indicator light on the lower left of the set will stay on until the lamp is actually replaced. I had to buy a replacement lamp to get this information, could not find it anywhere for these model numbers.
Press the volume down button on the projection display and hold down the zero button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds. When the reset procedure is complete, a message will display that the lamp timer was reset to zero.
This procedure will work for Panasonic models: PT-52LCX66 , PT-56LCX66 , PT-61LCX66 , PT-52LCX16 , PT-56LCX16 , PT-61LCX16
PT-43LC14/PT-50LC14/PT-60LC14.
1) Make sure the TV is on.
2) While pressing and holding down VOL DOWN button on the TV, press and hold down SPLIT PLAY button on the remote until a message appears on the screen that the lamp timer has been reset.
Here is a link to replacing the lamp and the instructions for resetting the timer. Just search for your set on the page. I hope that this helps you. asnowman
Panasonic TY-LA1000 TV Lamp Reset Procedure/instructions:
Per numerous members, it looks like this method works quite well:
Hold the Vol down button on the TV and the Split button on the REMOTE for five seconds, -or- Press the Volume button on the TV while pressing hte SPLIT button on the Remote Control for five seconds
It will NOT work if you try to do it both from your remote!
Press and hold "Volume Down" button on TV front and press "Play/Split" button on TV remote control for 6 seconds, Lamp Timer Reset message will come in screen.
on the tv itself push the volume down button and at the same time using the remote control press the pip button.
I just did this on my tv - had the same problem. it worked perfectly.
