Question about Brother MFC 420CN All-In-One InkJet Printer

USB Hello! My printer says that it cant detect my usb plug, but there is a plug in there and i have tried serveral other plugs and it still wont work

May be the following can help.

1) plug the printer's usb to the pc.
2) make sure the printer is switched on.
3) insert the driver's cd of canon ip2700 printer
4) run the setup, wait for the installation to complete.
5) restart the pc.
6) pc will automatically detect the printer.

Cp1525nw appears offline

If the system is unable to detect the printer, it will put the printer in offline mode. In this condition you won't get any print outs..
1. chk usb cable
2. un plug the usb cable, un install the drivers, plug the usb cable & chk new hard ware found?.. if not there is usb port issue, chk system usb port/s are working or not.. if yes
3. Replace printer formatter assmbly...
This printer network unable printer, why cant use through network? instead of replacing the formatter assembly...

Its detected butit wont work

Printer has detected, its mean the printer is ok.
and the computer I think its ok too,
so the problem is the connection, usually this problem in the number USB port on setting properties with the number USB port on lap top that you have plug in.

All my devices wok on the USB ports, but when I plug the Workcentre in it does not recognise the device

FIRST UNINSTALL YOUR PRINTER COMPLETELY
REMOVE ALL CABLES OF PRINTER (USB)
REBOOT YOUR SYSTEM
HAVE DRIVER CD
PUT IT IN ROM(CD/DVD)
INSTALL PRINTER SOFTWARE
DONOT PLUG THE USB CABLE UNLESS & UNTILL PROMPTED
PLUG USB WHEN ASKED
FINISH INSTALLING PRINTER
NOW YOU CAN FIND THE SCANNER

My printer wont print out a letter i need. it says to check conections and make shure it is turned on but i tried it and it still wont work

Hello,

You may have a problem with your communication connection.

1) Try plugging and unplugging your USB cord..
2) Go to "Control Panel/Printers".
3) Delete "Canon iP1800 series" printer.
4) Power ON printer, let computer detect printer.

If it will not detect and install the printer. There might be a problem with your USB cable.

Trendnet TE100-P1U v2.0, USB light goes dark.

A couple of things I would try:

Start the Print Server, then insert the USB cable.
Plug in a self-powered USB port, and plug the printer cable into that. That could help if the print server is having trouble with the amount of power drawn by the printer.

sir/mam, there is no usb port on all 1810p and also the usb to parallel cable is not working with these machines.
what you can do as an option is to find a parallel print server, or you may connet the copier to the router with a builtin parallel print server

My MP500 has a normal flat USB plug in. Turn off your printer and just try plugging in a normal USB cable into that slot...You can use the printer cable if you want. Haven't rec'd the BU20 yet, but don't think it will be a problem.
