Hdd1630 mp3 My computer does recigonize it, but it tries to connect to the internet. I don't have the net at home, so, what do I need to download to make it work???

The HDD1630 is only compatible with Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10.

If you have Windows Media Player 11, unistall it to roll back to version 10.

Install and run the Philips Device Manager from the product CD.

Connect the HDD1630 to the power supply and connect to the PC.

The MP3 player should show as an MTP device. There should be a connection icon on the player screen.

Start Windows Media Player, and select the SYNC option to transfer music.

Go to my computer open the Philips icon till you get to the music file delete it. Unplug the player from the usb cable and then reattach it. It will then show a new music file and 5.7 space available. All of your music will be gone.........but it was gone anyway. Ideally you should go to Philips and download the HDD1630/17b software and firmware and print off the instructions and redo your player. I did and it works great!!!!!

Try reseting it press the on/off button and then the volume up it should work
