Printer powers up and displays error L and 3???
Often just oiling the scanner rail with Triflow or a light 3in1 oil will get the job done. If the scanner drags even a little on the return it
will botch the timing and go into an error code.

An expert who has achieved level 3 by getting 1000 points
L3 indicates that the lens didn't make it back to home position
Sometimes just a reset will fix, other times it is a problem in optic drive or sensors
to reset enter buttons clr, exposure, clr, exposure, (must be done quickly) the display will blank, enter 14, press prnt button, then clr several times to get out and thats it.

It can be dirty/ faulty photocell sensors - clean/replace them along carriage rail, it can be the carriage drive motor- replace or it can be the control board - replace. This is not really a customer job cause you need a supply of parts to test it with
Check lock is off, on ceiling where paper exits

Tried the reset procedure and no go.. Still getting the L and 3 error. How do you fix the problem with the optic drive and sensors??? Help
