Question about Electrograph Systems DTS42W 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
Hi,
I have acquired a Plasma tv model DTS42W that is not working. When you
turn on the power using the back button there is a click which may be
normal and the green light in the front comes on. Being that the tv is
not in warranty I removed the back cover and checked all of the fuses
which were fine. When looking at the back when I power it on I notice
two green led's that lights up 8003 light s up and stays lit and 8002
lights up with the click but goes out with another click. At about the
same time a red led (8004) lights up. this is all that happens.
Nothing flickers on the screen at all. All of these led's are located on
the power supply board LJ44-00025A. I believe this tv is the same as the Gateway GTW-P42M203.
What advise could you give as to what the problem might be with this tv
and how I can go about getting parts for it?
Thanks,
Scott
Replace Q8023 (top224y) which you will find is blown apart or it's shorted, and the Q1 (2sk2662) which would check to be shorted inside the heat shrinked wrapped board next to the blue relay and the smd zener diode ZD8018 (shorted) along with the ceramic fuse F8001.
I don't remember the value for the zener diode but there's lots of them with the same color code. You will have to take one of the others off to test on a resistor jig to get it's value.
The 2SK2662 is a cross for the original.

I have exactly the same problem, although my TV is a Gateway GTW-P42M203, the parts are the same. There are 2 boards on the left side of the TV (looking from the back). I don't know too much about electronics but there are like 3 chips on each board. In one board, the chip IC5404 and on the other board, the chip IC5401 are burned. And each time that you try to turn the TV on, the alarm led (8004) lights up and the chips burn a little bit more.

I am having the same problem with my SAMPO 42". Did you ever find the cause? Is it as simple as a power module swap (the LJ44-00025A board)?
It is, I found a power board and it worked as far as power but I still have no video. I think my video board is fried as well. You can email me to discuss further, I may be willing to part with the power board or any other parts. [email protected]
I have an issue with this TV also. I have a Phillips TV 42 inch 42PF9431D. It does not power on and all the fuses check out okay except the F8001 is missing on the LJ44-00119A which I believe is the power board. How many boards should be inside this TV? I have 1 large one on the right with a bunch of ribbon cables coming out of it and another one on the left a little smaller with 2 ribbone cables coming out of it and then a few smaller boards. I have the power board out right now but do not see any issues with capacitors at least visually. Does anyone know where I could find the fuse that I need for this board?
Thanks,
Ced
