Question about Computers & Internet
I am handicapped and use DragonDictate to operate my computer for moving My mouse as well as using it for a dictation. I use Microsoft Excel regularly. DragonDictate seems to work okay. Everywhere else. I use my computer telephone to speak. It would be necessary for you to give me a phone number and time. When I can' speak with you. Or else you can e-mail me at [email protected]
I have a new computer with Vista
I hope you can help me! Thank you
Hello otdpaul I have used this Dragon software before. Although I dont have it installed on this system and have not used it for a few months, I might install it again to help you here.
What problem exactly are you having with Excel? Is it navigating around the cells or entering the data?

Copy
that, I am not familiar with DragonDictate, but from what I did find is
that an update is needed in your readme.wri file (located in the
DragonDictate directory) and/or REPLACE2.DDX from Dragon's web site.

I just purchased it it was installed on a differant computer with Vista and it worked

I see, then chances are what you need to check/update is your Excel or MS Office

To update Excel, open it as you would any other Windows program. Go to Help, click on Check for updates.
Alternately, you can open your browser (IE or Mozilla) and open the Microsoft Website and look for Office update

Hi,
Sorry our live session was interrupted, power failure my end (on and off). Way down below is a copy of our initial session. Immediately after this are my suggestions.
To update Excel, open it as you would any other Windows program. Go to Help, click on Check for updates.
Alternately, you can open your browser (IE or Mozilla) and open the Microsoft Website and look for Office update.
Initially, pls verify that your macros (in Excel) have the necessary command lines.
Pls post back soon as you have updated your Excel as well as Vista's Speech Recognition Software.
Good luck and kind regards.
Hi again,
Glad that it is now working.
Cheers.
