My TV will power on but no sound or picture. The red light blinks multiple times

If the red light blinks then the tv doesn't power n - it blinks to signal the fact that the power source is in protected mode because there's a big short on one f it's outputs.
The tv must be opened and the shorted part identified by someone who knows what it must do , and how to do it safely. If you're not such a person then call a repairman.

The red protect light is coming on

It is possible that your amp is going over the threshold limit of draining current to give out the protect signal. What could be done is to first checkout if your speakers are loading the amplifier, check the rating of the speakers and the impedance, must not be too low.below 2 ohms. Now check the source signal if this is bringing in any transcient signals to power out the outputs particularily high/low freq. So decrease off your bass and treble to mid position and test again. see if there is any improvement, if so there could be a filter problem with your set. Connect an external source and see if the amp powers better , in such case check for fault in cables, input lines and ground with in the set. Repeat this and check. Hope this helps you out. Good day

What does the red and green light mean ???

red and green light? there is most likely a protection and a power light. The red I assume would either be a protection light or a clipping light signal. Does the amp kick off then these lights kick on red then to green?

The TV will not power on and the red light blinks 6 times.

This is a basic blinking error code table:--

Error Code Table

0 = No error
1 = X-ray protection, E/W protection, and/or Vertical protection active
2 = High beam current protection active
3 = Reserved
4 = +5V protection active
5 = Signal Processor (IC 7150) register corrupted
6 = Signal Processor (IC 7150) error
7 = Total failure
8 = Internal RAM error (Microprocessor IC 7000)
10 = NV memory (IC7088) addressing error
11 = NV memory (IC7088) size error
12 = Histogram (YUV) (IC 7770) error
14 = Sound processor I²C error (TDA9855)
16 = Main Tuner I²C error (IC 1125)
17 = PIP Processor I²C error (IC 7350)
18 = PIP Tuner I²C error (IC 1127)

But in most cases the power cord is "defective" as it's a common issue.try with new cable 1st or else follow the chart and replace the part as per coding chart on main board.

This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

42PFL5332D/37 does not turn on red light flashes 6 times.

Don't have a "solution" yet, but found this table that decodes the blinks:

Error Code Table

0 = No error
1 = X-ray protection, E/W protection, and/or Vertical protection active
2 = High beam current protection active
3 = Reserved
4 = +5V protection active
5 = Signal Processor (IC 7150) register corrupted
6 = Signal Processor (IC 7150) error
7 = Total failure
8 = Internal RAM error (Microprocessor IC 7000)
10 = NV memory (IC7088) addressing error
11 = NV memory (IC7088) size error
12 = Histogram (YUV) (IC 7770) error
14 = Sound processor I²C error (TDA9855)
16 = Main Tuner I²C error (IC 1125)
17 = PIP Processor I²C error (IC 7350)
18 = PIP Tuner I²C error (IC 1127)

I, too, have the 6 blinks of a red light. I found another person online that suggested that perhaps the power cord was "defective" as it's a common issue. I replaced the power cord with one from an old computer (they're the same cord) and it seems to be OK now. That's all I can offer you at this time.

Red status Light

If the protection LED is lit, the amp is in protect mode and probably has shorted output transistors. To eliminate other possible causes, read through the following page:

Both green and red ligt or on my jensen ka3 i dont know what it means i had it working b4 i swaped my subs for some new ones and the amp dosent work now.i dont know if is because of the red light but i...

Generally, the power light is green and the protect light is red. If the protect light is on there could be a short in the wiring or there could be an internal fault in the amp.

Disconnect all speaker wires from the speaker terminals of the amp and disconnect signal cables from the amp. If it powers up, the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down (goes into protection), the amp likely has blown output transistors.

American pro amp 1000 watt vs=3503

The Protect light would normally be Red. You need to test your RCA's and make sure your getting a signal to your amp.  I would just buy a new set  or if you have another set just try them.  If you get your amp to power on and all of your voltages are right with the proper signal and your amp fails to turn on you Have a bad amplifier
