Most common problem is, people forget to put the correct software on the
PC (or MAC) so the computer knows it should load pictures. For most
equipment, drivers are loaded automaticaly, when it is connected to the
computer. But the software that is delivered with the camera is needed
to load pictures to the PC. If you don't hav ths software, you could try
to get the pictures to the PC with a card reader. That does not require
extra software.
Hi, There are 2 different solutions available for this problem, 1. Reinstall the Sony Cybershot software that came alongwith the camera, update the software online and then try again (may need a PC restart). 2. Alternative way is to take out the SD-card from the camera and upload the pictures using a SD-card drive or USB stick.
In order to down load pictures from a digital camera to the computer, you must first load software that allows the computer to recognize your camera. There should be software that came with the camera, and how to load it is in your manual. If you choose not to do this, then you can take the memory card out of the camera and insert it into a card reader attached to your computer and see the pictures on the card.

Depending on the version of software you have the drivers may not have loaded correctly. Try using a USB port on the back of your computer and see if it loads the drivers then. If not you may need to reinstall the software and the downloader. You may need to uninstall the DB CIF Cam depending on the version of software you have. The reason for this is if the camera was connected to the computer before the software was installed then Windows loads the most generic drivers it can find for the camera. From then on if the camera is connected to the computer Windows continues to load those drivers and not the correct drivers. Simply connecting to a different port can correct this or reinstalling all of the software can correct this.
If the camera software is loaded and you are connecting the camera to computer. Remove the softwaree and. Windows will see the camers as a removable memory device in my computer an put up the scanner camera wizard. This may reveal more. You may also have inadvertantly deleted stuff download www.pcinspector.com install it to recover any deleted images. Also try the camera and card in another computer.
When I put the CD in the computer it does not load.
