Razr v3 new from ebay unlocked how to remove t-tones to use cingular

I recently purchased a new razr v3 unlocked on ebay (supposedly w/warranty). the add claims that it works with cingular. the voice part does. but it has t-tones software for the browser. is there a way to remove t-tones so i can use my cingular browser? or is there a way to do settings to use browser?

I have a Razr v3 unlocked phone how do i setup my browser

We have a new V3 we bought off ebay (again, supposedly Cingular compatible and unlocked). Every time you press the button to look at call history (missed, dialed, etc.), it turns off. We can't find the ringer ids and a few other things.

We have done a hard reset several times. Still no luck.

    Any suggestions?

Flyboy - Your phone was, indeed, unlocked, but they put the T-Mobile software on there and even though they use many of the same frequencies, the phone will have to be "flashed" with Cingular-system compatible software which will replace that. Having Cingular/AT&T send you the new browser settings *might* work, but I have noted that unlocked T-Mobile phones, more often than not, do NOT work on Cingular without the flashing. It's a complicated and potentially problematic process that I don't recommend using unless you are computer/cell-phone savvy. You can find more information here:

How do I unlock a v3 razr black - cingular

If you are a Cingular/ATT customer in good standing, you can call them and ask them for the unlock code.

Same holds true for T-Mobile customers.

Motorola Razr v3 cell phone

The way yo can tell if it's unlocked it's by installing two different types of SIM cards, let's say one from Cingular/ATT and then one for T-Mobile, if they both work...then it's unlocked. They might have not unlocked it properly. Let me know I can try to help

Weird tm's

I too have an unlocked razr from ebay. Great phone but exhibits this same problem. I have found that this tm originates from within the phone itself and is not sent from anyone. In my case I am not charged for this tm becuase it because it was not actually sent to me. It is just a quirk of the phones software. It never shows up on my tm bill detail because it wasn't sent over the network. It originates in the phone

Razr

By not bothering purchasing ringtones from Cingular. Purchase "Motorola Phone Tools" and let her create her own ring tones. :) It will save you money in the long run, BELIEVE me.
