I assume you are talking about the powerhead, on the bottom are some screws, just take out the four with the arrows pointing to them. The others hold the motor and don't need to be taken out. Turn it over and the top cover will come off and you can get to the wire.

I have a Eureka bagless, The Boss, there is a clog behind the top dirt catcher. I have cleaned every other tube, filter, clogs, etc.. I can't get my hand up into the main housing. Thank you so...

Try using a straightened wire coat-hanger. You should be able to bend a small hook at the end of the wire, and then bend it to get to the clog. If you can get the clog to move a little, but can't get it all the way out, try putting the vacuum back together and turning it on again -- sometimes just loosening up a clog will be enough to let the vacuum **** it through.

Describe how to change power cord

Before changing the entire power cord, be certain that it is not only the plug that is not working. It is very common for the wire to break inside the insulation at the connection to the plug from flexing and bending. You can tell by plugging the vacuum in, turning it on and bending the wire at or near where it connects with the plug. If the machine stops or starts, it is probably the plug. They are available at Home Depot or Lowes or a local hardware store.
To replace the cord, you have to open the housing where the wire enters, find the end of the wire where it connects to the terminals in the vacuum and remove and install a new wire, maintaining the wire color to all connections.

Could be the a/c cord, a problem with the noozle not pushing the saftey switch, the bag emptor(bottom of outer bag) isn't on the of the way and not engaging the other safety switch. The other is a problem with the motor.

How do I attach the hose?

You have to take the front noozle off, But 1st turn the big knob until the it locks, then remove the noozle. The hose will attach on the front where the noozle was. When you are down you can put the noozle back on and turn the knob again releasing the belt onto the shaft.

Beater bar works intermittently

When you push the hose into the tube, there is an acuator that will push the switch so the beater bar will turn. That switch could be just dirty, dust gets in them and they won't always work, the acuator may need to be replaced. Either that or you have a bad wire connection somewhere in the noozle or where the wires just go into the noozle asm.

Brushes not rotating on hoover f7425-900 steamvac v2

I had the same problem and it was inside the turbine assembly. If you take the turbine assembly off the machine and open it up, you will see the turbine blades on one side and the reduction gears on the other side. The problem on mine was a needle bearing sandwiched between two washers on the reduction gear side. This bearing/washer stack is the stabilizer for the turbine gear shaft. Mine was rusted solid. I removed the washers and bearing and cleaned them up with a wire wheel being careful not to lose any of the tiny needles. Once evrything was rust-free, I reset the needles with grease and sandwiched the bearing between the washers. I then reinstalled this stack back in the case along with the other gears, regreased everything, and buttoned it up. Brushes are spinning better than they have in a long time.

Wheels won't engage

Sounds like the outer window noozle isn't seated with the inner window. Take out the two screws, one on each side, remove the window, inspect the other half moon window to make sure it is ok, then reinstall the outer window(don't forget the gasket that sits on top of this window)Try to see if you still have a problem.

Take off the noozle, take off the bottom plate and remove the brush roll and old belt. Check the brush roll while you have it off to make sure the end spin freely. Put the belt on the brus roll and re-install in the noozle, put on the bottom plate. Then turn the big knob on the front of the nozzle all the way, you can only turn it so that the belt catches and will stretch, it will stop when you are all of the way, then re-install the nozzle back onto the Vac, turn that knob back the other way and you are all done.
