Three year old GE JE1860 microwave that has recently started to not turn off intermittently. When it does this, you can open the door and it still "hums", though the turntable quits turning. Shut the door and it continues, and appears to be cooking when the door is closed because it burnt some kernels of corn that had been spilled in there. Opening and closing the door doesn't stop it, pressing cancel doesn't stop it, and we usually just try various things on the control panel until it shuts off. Seems once we can get it to start making the "normal" noises and the turntable turning, it will then shut off. I've tried unplugging it when it is doing this, leaving it unplugged for 10 minutes, and when I plugged it back in, it still did the same thing. It probably does this one out of ten times we use it, but there is no pattern.
HELP! Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
