Ok i did a search for this problem and ended up on this forum My diagnose of the problem was that the pen was not detected by the drawing pad , so something was wrong with the pen After studying the pen i found a little hole where the wire is where u screw the cap on the back Pushing in the hole with a little screwdriver made the circuit board come lose Then i found out i had to use a little screwdriver to pull out the long button before the whole circuit board would come out of the pen I found out that one of the tiny wires from the pressure coil was loose I soldered it back on and tested it ,still out of the hull ,but holding a battery in it and touching the drawing pad And it worked again !! (cheer) I think that due to some movement of the coil and/or circuit board inside the hull ,one or maybe even both of the wires come loose and that makes the pen not function anymore
Just to be sure i put a dot of extra solder on both wires because the amouth of soldering tin was barely visible
If your handy you can try to open the pen like i did and check if both wires are still connected to the circuit board If not , with a bit solder u can fix it and get it working again
Hope my experience helps others to fix this nice drawing pad
My wife was very sad as she found out it stopped working and a new battery didn't fix it Since i gave it to her for her birthday i was upset too and very motivated to find the problem As ham radio operator i have plenty of soldering and trouble shooting experience

2: dod, and nsa.gov both crush first and grind the HDD to tiny chunks, yes, that is what they do.
3: or if not that worried, we run DBAN (google that)
DBAN erases the hdd, totally with many patterns
like this 01010101 then 101010101
for most folks this is best, just DBAN it or crush the drive.
4: way 4 is sell the PC with no HDD inside (or SSD if SSD)
if you look in ebay see all those PCs lacking HDD.
bingo , smart folks do that.
If I buy a used PC or HDD, I Dban it day1, for sure don't want kiddy Phron in my home or Hillarys freakn emails.

I would like to share with you my experience, I went to www.vanskeys.com to buy a key, to my surprise, their attitude is very good, but the key work is normal, there is very little money I spent, very happy the first purchase and recommend it to you.
If you have a wireless mouse or a USB mouse plug in and get online to find a downloadable driver for your touch-pad. A lot of file adding and shifting with a touch-pad can get the system fragmented (Defragging may help) and driver files, .dll's, and others your touch-pad needs and uses can get buried in the clutter (file fragments) all over the floor so-to-speak. If defragmentation of your hard drive doesn't work just download new drivers. Here is a safe Download link to look in. There is just about everything here, free and safe too... I have an Olevia also and it's the same way. I spent about an hour and a half on hold for tech support only to be told, "That's the way it is." Oh, he also said, "Thanks for buying our product. Happy day to you!" So every time I turn it on I think, "Happy day to you!" and by the time I'm done laughing the logo's gone! Hope this helps. ''HAPPY DAY TO YOU!"
