How can i set the shutter speed of olympus fe210 digital camera?

One of the biggest disadvantages of a point&shoot camera is that they expect you to point and shoot without having to bother with minor details like shutter speeds and apertures. The 7010 is no different, offering no way of controlling the shutter speed directly. The best you can do is to set either the Night Scene or Night Landscape mode.

You can not set the Shutter Speed manually.
The camera computes and shows the value on screen (if selected).
It is also depending on the mode the camera is set to.

You should not have to pay to learn if you can apply yourself to the task.
If you don't have the manual you can get it from Olympus' website
Then 'Google" everything you need to know from the Internet for FREE.
Search: photography, aperture, shutter speed, good composition.

Just turn the mode dial to the picture of a movie camera. Press the shutter button to start the movie and press it again to stop.

On most indoor shots the shutter speed will normally be 1/30 if you need or want it to be faster than that the only way to do that with this camera is to set the ISO to a higher value. Page 29 of your user manual explains how to set the ISO value for the camera to allow for faster shutter speeds.

You may want to call Olympus Customer Service to discuss the repair process for the camera. Sounds as if it is a problem with the image processing chip inside of the camera. Their telephone number is 800-622-6372 option 2 and then option 3

Yes you can still upload your pics to your PC. Go to Olympus' web site and download the software for the FE210.

Do a search for photo time date software. Irfanview does have that ability and it is free.

LCD screens can be repaired by Olympus repair centers, prob free if under warranty quite expensive if not under warranty. Or you can purchase LCD screens on ebay between $45 and $65. Not hard to replace.
