How do i get it to work properly? Is it that it has a defect? I can't get either the pip or the pbp to work. The instruction book is not helpful at all...no trouble shooting for that sort of thing. when trying to use pbp picture side by side only one works. When trying to use pip only one works (either the little picture or the big picture. I see the words "pip no signal" . . . what does that mean? I am pressing the pip button on the remote... is it that I need to purchase a 2nd devise in order to make it work? Please help, thanks.

Re: pltv-4250 pip & pbp issue
Yes, PIP allows you to view 2 channels at one, one being the analogue picture another being a cable/freeview or sattelite picture, if you only use one of these to view programmes, you will se a blank screen.

Easy! If you have a VCR,put a VHS tape in the VCR,run the video cable behind the TV and the audio cable from the VCR to a hi fi receiver/speaker(cd input or tape input.) If you have sound coming out from the HI FI,go ahead and plug the audio connection along with the video connection behind the tv.If there is no sound, it could be: A. your TV speaker is completed its mission-;o)Blown speaker. B. you are on TV MUTE! C. your audio cable is defective(small chance, cause you have left and right!) D. your connection was incorrect. solutiondoct
power supply for this model are defective and you cant find a replacement anywhere you might be able to get someone to repair the old one or build a new one i have 2 of these tvs in storage both w/ same issue
I did the same exact thing. I unscrewed the main screws holding on the base, the rods run up through the TV, and I still couldn't get it to come out. So, I went and hired a repair guy to come and tell me what I was doing wrong and he said it should come right out. All he did was give it a good hard yank, and out it came. I was afraid I would tear up something, but it worked. Good luck. P.S. Those idiots at Customer Service don't care at all.
