F2 error I don't have the instruction manual for my spectra oven. WHen I use the broiler I get an F2 error message after a few minutes of broiling. I am not sure if the oven door is to be slightly ajar or closed while broiling either. Please help! Mary

An f2 code means the oven overheated.it could be a bad relay on the control board. also if you ran a self clean cycle and left the racks in the oven,i've heard it could cause problems with the oven sensor.
and no you shouldn't have to leave the oven door open when you cook.hope it helps

Unit shuts off when using broiler

can't broil with door open with these models. If closed, most likely an air flow issue with the cooling fan above in the control panel.

Error code f2 broiler comes on by itself and won't shut off

F2 Oven over temp - exceeded 590F with door in unlocked position or 990F with door locked If actual temp condition occurred, look for welded relay contacts or high resistance connection or any cause in the oven temperature sensor circuit

I can not find my manual for the range. I have a

Hi casharri,

Go Follow the link to get the manual =

error F2 = Control senses oven temperature above 615F-630F

If actual over temperature condition occurred: Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).

If no over temperature condition occurred: Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective.

Remember: Oven control (ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit , not actual oven temperature.

F2 error code

Similar problem. When baking over 400 degrees we get the F2 code that can only be reset by cycling the power at the breaker. Replaced the electonics to no avail. I'm thinking its the cooling fan located between the oven and microwave (upper unit) it never comes on which may cause a separate temp switch to generate the F2... but I'm not a pro. :)
