The terminals are located at the back and yes you can connect a turntable

There are none for PHONO but you could use the TAPE
(not the MD) inputs (you might need a preamp but worth checking without first)

Depending on your turntable you might not need a preamp as some come with built in.

You can try connecting it to the cd or tape inputs on the back of the receiver. It should work in either of those connectors.

Do you need a pre-amp to connect this turntable to a receiver that has no Phono input jack?

Yes, a TurnTable can be connected to any of the Analog Audio Input ports on the Sony STRDH130 Receiver. However, the turntable signal will need amplification from an external pre-amplifier (or an inline amplifier) as this Receiver does not have a PHONO input.

Connecting a turntable to Sony STR K502P

Use RCA Cables from the TT to the Aux in on the Receiver. You may need to use a pre-amp inline from TT to Receiver.

I have set up a BOSE Accustimass System with my STR de485 receiver. How do I adjust the treble/bass?

hi,
if u are using bose speaker system then remember one thing. go to speaker setup and select all the speakers as large not small. then only u will get a good tone. bose speakers will handle the output power of ur amplifier.
u can only adjust the bass and treble of ur frond Channel speakers. for that
select multi channel surround sound and the increase and decrease the bass and treble
ok

I have a sony str-de485 reciver im trying to get digital sound it is only playing in prologic. im trying to hook up my xbox 360 the digital option is activated on the xbox i have a fiberoptic cable...

please make sure that the connections are firm. Then check if the input mode is set to auto in. Also try to change the sound field on the receiver and try. If the issue perform reset by turning OFF the receiver and press n hold the MODE button along with the power button till S.F clear appears on the receiver and try. You can also try to disconnect and reconnect the power cord from wall outlet for 2 minutes and try.

PROTECT DISPLAYED ON RECEIVER

This generally means you've got a short somewhere, and the received is trying to protect itself.

My suggestion is to disconnect all of your speakers at both ends, and reconnect them.

Most times this happens because a speaker wire is lose, and the positive and negative connections are touching each other, causing it to short out.

Sony STR DE485 (Audio Video Reciever)

Your problem must be caused by the right channel (rear, front whatever..)side feeding resistor on the power supply.
