Question about Sony Handycam DCR-TRV460 Digital Camcorder
I have a sony digital 8 camcorder model DCR-TRV460. It is not playing back the videos. I get a blue screen and a message of 8 -> hi8/8 pops up quickly. I am not sure what the problem could be. Please advise.
Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if a blue screen is displayed when attempting to playback video from the camcorder.

This is usually caused by an oxidized or defective Audio/Video drum. Try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

It's a common problem solved by, believe it or not, hitting the camcorder with the palm of your hand, not too hard, but not too soft either. It works for mine, and it has worked for several other people.
Thanks you Louis It work for mine
