Hp office jet 5610 all in one printer--- am I able to fax without hooking up to a computer if yes how- thanks

All the HP office all-in-ones fax without computer hookup, simply place the fax on the load tray face up until you see the window state that the original is loaded. Then on the number pad dial the fax number you want to connect to, once that is done...press the black fax button and the machine will dial the number, once a connection is made the fax will feed itself through and complete. The only connection needed is an outgoing phone line. Just make sure that the phone line is in the right socket on the back. You will see icons by the sockets, the one with the phone icon is for a line to go to a phone headset....this is not the socket for the main phone line, ise the other one that says "line".

FAX machine hook up and operation

You need a RJ-11 phone cord and a USB A/B cable.

Once you have it hooked up go to www.hp.com in the printer suppot area. HP will download the printer drivers automatically.

Fax on Officejet 4315

Hello,

Here, you will find information connecting the OfficeJet to different phone system configurations. Its sounds like it is being connected to a DSL connection so I would refer to that section first.

Also, here is information on "Phone Off Hook" issue.

If none of these options help, here are some additional options that may help.

Hp officejet all in one

I assume from your message that you mean you can't print a document from your computer or send and receive faxes. Chances are, you'll have to reinstall the printer, just the same way as when you first bought it and hooked it up to your PC. Also, the operating system on your computer is going to make a difference. For example, if you originally hooked the printer up to a Windows XP computer and now you're hooking it up to a Windows Vista computer, you'll need to install different print drivers.

I don't know if you have the original manuals or disks that came with the printer. If not, a good place to start would be to download the manual from HP.com. That'll at least get you started:

Manuals page

It would be really helpful if you were to post what steps you took to connect your printer to your PC once you got the printer out of storage. Also, how long had it been in storage, are you hooking it up to the same PC or a different PC than before you put it in storage, and are you hooking it up to the PC differently now than before (printer cable vs. USB cable, for example)?

Thanks.
